Hi,
As of now Veerashaiva Lingayats does not falls under OBC category. In the state of Karnataka, they belong to BC but in centre list they come under General Category and not under OBC.
There are further 30 more sub divisions in Lingayats which are considered as OBC's as per the Center list but not Veerashiva Lingayats.
If you are Lingayat Uppara from Karnataka you will get OBC status for Central Government jobs.
Hello Aspirant,
See you should check the central list of reservation available on the official website of NCBC :-

If your category is reserved under OBC category in the above central list then you should apply under OBC category otherwise you will be considered as General candidate and you have to apply under General category.

Hello Aspirant,
Don't worry if you have uploaded invalid EWS certificate in JEE-Main 2021 Application form for February '21 attempt because you can correct it during the correction window for March attempt but note that if you don't have valid EWS certificate then you can submit the undertaking which declares that you will submit the original and valid caste certificate later on at the time of admission. You can download the undertaking from the official portal of NTA, for which link is also given below :-
https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/webinfo2021/File/GetFile?FileId=5&LangId=P
When you visit on the above link you will find a PDF and on page no.9 there is undertaking format which you have to download and after filling it you have to upload it on the place of category certificate in the JEE-Main 2021 Application form. But note that you have to produce your original certificate in physical form at the time of admission through JEE-Main 2021
Note that the photographs or images which you will be uploading for JEE-Main 2021 should be as same as the criteria set by NTA which are enlisted below as per the official information brochure released by NTA :-
> The recent photograph should be either in colour or black/white with 80% face (without mask) visible including ears against a white background.
> File size for candidate’s photograph should be in the range of 10 kb - 200 kb. File size for candidate’s signature should be in the range of 4kb - 30kb.
> File size for duly verified result awaited attestation form should be in the range of 50kb - 500kb.
> File size for category certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS etc.) should be in the range of 50kb to 300KB.
> File size for PwD certificate should be in the range of 50kb - 300kb in jpg/jpeg format.
