VIPs is fully air-conditioned and the infrastructure is very good. The campus is spread over 5 acres of land and the accommodating capacity is low. It has different buildings for Arts, Commerce and Science.
It has 3 buildings - for arts, commerce and science students. It is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and its academics are decent. It admits students on basis of the CET examination marks.
The placements are very disappointing. The highest salary package offered is usually around 6-8 LPA. The average salary package is around 2.5 LPA. Its placement offers are not good at all. The students should try taking off-campus placements.
The institute has everything a student might need from spacious classrooms with comfortable desks to game rooms, basket ball court, badminton court and libraries. Cleanliness and hygiene are taken utmost care of. There are three different blocks on campus and each block has it's own library which can be accessed by students anytime. The institute computers can also be used for research.
The syllabus is designed to help students compete equally with students from other colleges. The teachers take the lesson plans quiet seriously. We also have geoup presentations and discussions in class. The English department ia very hard working, we even organised our own LitFest ( literature fest) recently.
companies are invited during the sixth semester to offer placements. Our department VSES has its own placement cell. Though the campus offers a certified Summer Internship Program to the students of all the courses in the institute.
1 lakh per annum is a big amount but looking at the opportunities and facilities we are offered in comparison to other institutions, the fees is acceptable. Moreover, the teachers are very supportive and help us through every level.
At VIPS, the life on campus is the best. The central societies are very active and organise events and fests at huge scale. We even have movie screening and competitions from time to time. Face painting, hair braiding and nail art are every events highlights.
The institute is very nicely built with auditoriums, assembling halls, computer labs, game rooms and badminton court. Each building has its own library that contains a lot of informative books. The classrooms are huge and have a projector facility for better understanding. The washrooms are clean and take good care of hygiene.
I am pursuing BA English honors and the syllabus is well curated. The professors are excellent at their subject and are very supportive. The curriculum is included with presentations, assignments and tests to help us know our understanding of the topics. Teachers provide notes, study material and extra readings related to the text going on in class.
The placements take place in the 6th semester which I am yet to experience but the professors really help us get some good internships during the span of our graduation. From what I have heard, most of the students are not satisfied by campus placement and look for jobs on their own
I pay one lakh per annum for this degree. It is really worth the money with such huge libraries full of books, the faculty that helps us move forward in our career and with the exposure we get through inter-college events that are held regularly.
The ground is small but we make the most of it. Annual fests and events are quiet fun. The gardens are a nice place to spend time. The digital cafeteria has a variety of eatables and is a fun place to socialize.
All the necessary equipments and facilities provided are great. Everything is well maintained and clean. Although it would have been preferred if we had more open spaces within the campus rather than just buildings.
Teachers are amazing here, really friendly and experienced people. Although our batch spent our college life in COVID lockdown so the online experience wasn't all that good but still the teachers helped us a lot with our subjects.
Most people from our batch did not get placed and had to find good jobs on our own. The placement cell should have worked on bringing better career opportunities. It was truly a disappointment. Hope they get better in the future.
The infrastructure is very nice and the classrooms are comfortable. The library is full of all the needed books and the campus is well maintained. The areas are very clean and the college canteen provides very hygienic food.
I'm studying eco hons and the quality of teaching is great as the faculty is very knowledgeable. Yes, the curriculum is updated and has all the necessary aspects one requires to complete the degree. The course is very practical so it makes us job ready.
The quality is good as I've heard by the seniors. 90% students are placed. Highest package was 12lpa and it was offered to a student of BCA. The placement procedure is relatively easy and the college is very supportive.
It costs a lakh per year and yes I'm getting my money's worth since the faculty is very knowledgeable and the infrastructure is nice.
The best feature is the classrooms and the worst is the small ground. There are a lot of societies students can take part in and they are very active. The staff is very supportive and the location is convenient since the campus is on main road and near the metro station. The campus is safe.
It has good infrastructure and all the necessary thing a student need, campus is quit small though. All classrooms have ACs and are maintained. Living spaces are clean and hygienic. Food is descent there.
I am perusing my BCA degree from VIPS because it is one of the best colleges for it(atleast Internet says that). Teachers talk very nicely and treats every student equally. Teachers teach traditional & updated stuff both. Focusing only on what teachers teach will not make you jib ready but you'll get good knowledge but doing some internships and external courses from udemy is what I recommended.
In terms of placements, I can say it isn't THAT great, one should apply for out campus placements. Almost 80% students get placements. Do not expect 15-20 lacs package from VIPS, at most you are gonna get 6-8 Lacs. Average salary of a BCA graduate is ~3 - 3.5 lacs. Placements process is never easy but teachers are very supportive.
BCA cost 108000 in 1st year and 85k per year afer that. It doesn't cost too much as compared to other institutions and gives great experience, So yes, BCA from VIPS is worth the money and you surely can go for it.
As I am studying in a pandemic so can't say much but still i can say how they're doing all the things online and managing stuff is pretty good. We have daily classes plus 2-4 assignments AND tests every week. Even though online class are a headache, understanding the situation, it's fine. I think we are goona graduate on a random Tuesday and think what flying heck just happen?
College infrastructure is excellent. Classes are equipped with centralised ACs, projector, cameras for surveillance and fire alarms. Also, there are 3 auditoriums, 3 libraries, digital cafe in the campus. Campus living space is clean and tidy and food available at cafe is safe and hygiene.
I'm pursuing BA Economics hons at VIPS. Faculty at Vivekananda School of Economics is fully experienced and provide all study material, self notes for better understanding. Timely projects and assignments are given to gain hand on experience. Moreover, department provides opportunity to learn new skills and softwares to gain practical knowledge.
Quality of placement is average. The placement process has various stages like introduction round, group discussion, personal interview etc. Average salary package is around 5-6 lakhs p.a. Various companies are Oracle, Deloitte, Outlook etc.
BA Economics hons costs 80k- 90k per year. But it's worth it as college provides excellent facilities in and out. Various societies are there, events, campaigns are conducted to involve students in extra curricular activities.
Campus Life at VIPS is amazing. There are various centralised and departmental societies one can engaged in. Moreover, societies organise various events in its own campus as well as outside the campus. One can spend time in library and digital cafe. Campus has 2 beautiful gardens at its entrance. As college locates in the prime location, it is easy to access transportation facilities and can handle any emergency situation.
Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies is one of the top college of GGSIPU offers various courses with practical experience in the respective field.
The infrastructure is really good and every part of the campus is good. They have now e-cafe for canteen. And for law students there's a legal aid cell as well...It basically has all the necessary equipments and I really like it.
Faculty is good and supportive. They are open to discussions and are efficient. There are internal and external examinations in each semester. My course is of 5 years, so 10 semesters. Internal examination marks are evaluated in final semester result. The papers are not too difficult nor too easy.
Campus placements are not the biggest strength for the law department. The rate is too low. Although they offer great internships starting from 3rd year. But campus placements aren't that efficient. Although they're expanding it now and working on it.
Yes, it's worth it. Vips is really a good college. During the covid times, they've set their fees around ₹70 K, because they've deducted some money during these difficult times. I really don't regret in getting admission in this college :)
There are many competitions held. I have heard The most popular one is Spandan of BJMC. There are various sports and sports events as well. There 3 libraries in campus and law department as it's own and they have a good stock of books
It has all the necessary facilities and equipments, lifts for higher floors, departments for all facilities, well developed libraries and wifi, however no hostel facility provided. The canteen food is affordable and hygienic
The law faculty of the college is a very active and developed one with regular seminars and competition taking place to teach the students new things everyday. The curriculum is not really updated but recent developments are talked about by teachers
No idea for placements as am I'm only in my second year but from what I've learned about from the college leaflets and website is that 100% placement is provided with top firms hiring students every year
The fees is around 1 lakh per annum, it is worth when the classes are taking place offline. However, such a cost for online classes aren't justifiable as not much of the college resources are being used
It is a good environment to grow in, many activities are held for law students to engage and learn in. Teachers and support staff are extremely helpful and the location is a not so good but easy to reach by all transportation modes
Yes, VIPS is known for its infrastructure. It has an amazing building, beautiful and strong desks, clean white board, reliable wifi and clean washrooms and corridors. The library has almost all the important books available.
The curriculum is according to DU syllabus. The teachers put in all the efforts to make us understand the concepts and are always open for taking doubts. Academics is always given a priority in this college.
I am not that aware about the placements of my particular department, but the other departments provide good placements in reputable companies. There is also an internship fair which is conducted every year.
Being a private college, it can be a little bit more costly than the government colleges. But the infrastructure and facilities are all worth it. ACs always work remarkably, canteen is spacious, grounds are green and corridors are wide and clean.
Although due to pandemic campus life had not be experienced that much, but whatever time I have spent on campus was rememberable. It was fun with education and just being on the campus made me happy.
Hi dear candidate,
The IP University and it's affiliated colleges like VIPS, JIMS, MSIT etc. all have 85% of the seats reserved for Delhi students and the remaining ones are for outsiders which has good amount of competition.
Yes, the IPU reserves seat for outsiders as well but you will need a valid EWS certificate that is issued after 31 March 2025.
BEST REGARDS
No, the fees for management quota in VIPS is usually higher than the general quota. Management quota seats are limited and are filled directly by the college, so they charge more than the regular fees set under the government or merit based admission. It's best to contact the college admission office directly to get the exact fee details for both quotas.
Yes, you can get direct admission into BBA LLB at VIPS (Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies) with 82 percent in your Class 12 exams, but not without appearing in CLAT or IPU CET.
VIPS is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), and admissions to BBA LLB are done strictly through entrance exams. The primary mode of admission is through CLAT UG, as GGSIPU has adopted CLAT scores for law programs in recent years. Previously, the IPU CET was used for law admissions, but that has been phased out for integrated law courses like BBA LLB.
So, even with a good Class 12 score, you cannot get admission into VIPS for BBA LLB without a valid CLAT score. The university does not allow direct management quota admissions outside the entrance process for its law programs. You may need to wait for the next CLAT attempt or consider private universities that allow direct admission based on 12th marks.
All the best!
