See both colleges are good . What i see is that bmsit is slightly better than in bit. Consider th placements in mechanical , 90% got placedin good companies . Also PSU came and took different students at ahigh package of 18 lpa. Also the campus is large, infrastructure is well balanced. The faculties are very helpful in nature. Considering BIT if it was it then i would have sugested to go for bit. But mechanical is bettr in bmsit.

Under josaa councelling only one bits take part that is bits mesra and for rest bits one need to give the seperate exam of bit .
But I regret to inform you that with such a low score its difficult for you to get admission into any core branch in bits mesra .
The branches you can take admission into are biotechnology, chemical engineering(plastic and polymer), production engineering.
Rest all branches have high closing cutoff for the candidates to get admission.

BIT is a good option for you. Because of placements, faculties and students ratio(13:1) which is better in comparison to MSRIT. One thing that is to be noticed is that BIT us accredited by NBA while MSRIT is not.

Congratulations on securing this rank.
Going by the closing ranks of the 3rd round of counselling of the years 2017 and 2018, it is evident that the cutoff for CSE in Bhilai Institute of Technology doesn't really exceed the range of 600 for the obc category. For 2017 the closing rank for obc was 664 and in 2018 it was 630. So, you must be understanding that the cutoff to reach 777 is not really possible.
I would suggest you to go for another college or try again in the next year.

Yes, definitely. Infact it will be easier for you as you also get the home state quota. You can get into one of the core branches like IT or CSE in the college. It will be a good place for you. The career opportunities from there are wonderful. If you work hard and do well in the exams, you can get internal placement. Also, the clubs and committees are a good place for you to showcase your talents and enhance your skills.

Based on the previous years cut offs, it is improbable for you to get a government seat, either through all India quota or the Government quota seats in private colleges(admission to which is through state counselling). You may thus try for private institutions, but the fees will be way too high. Check the college predictor link as well once.

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to get into any course in BIT Mesra with a rank of 2 lakh or more for open category even in Home state quota. Though a SC/ST/Pwd certificate can bring you easily here.

College Infrastructure
College infrastructure is not upto the mark as it should be in Btech Colleges. The Buildings are once made and never looked back.Only Good thing is Library .BIT Patna offers modern infrastructure with well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, a central library, Wi-Fi campus, hostels, and sports facilities, providing a good learning environment. College Infrastructure
Birla institute of technology , mesra , boasts one of the most spacious and beautiful campuses in India , spread over 780 acres of greenry. The college infrastructure is well developed and caters to both academic and extra curricular activities. Classrooms are clean, well equiped and are aided with good modern facilities like projectors and smart boards. The library is massive and house thousands of books and digital resources from students of all streams. The institute has also great sports infrastructure that includes cricket, football and almost all indoor games including badminton , table tennis ,etc. The environment is peaceful and inspiring helping students to focus on their academics as well as personal growth. Hostel food and occasional maintanance is the only negative part that is dominant. Overall, BIT Mesra offers an ideal setting for a balanced college life with everything a student may need, right within the campus.

The infrastructure here is quite impressive. The classrooms are well-equipped, and while the labs have the basic tools you need. You'll find air-conditioned classrooms.The hostels are generally considered spacious and well-maintained, with daily cleaning, and each has its own dining hall. They also have night canteens, which is convenient. The college has a good library, fast Wi-Fi all over the campus, a medical center, and sports facilities. However, a few folks have suggested the cafeteria could use a facelift and that some washrooms might need better hygiene.
