Hello aspirant
Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani (shortened BITS Pilani or BITS) is a private institute of higher education and a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. The institute is one among the 6 Indian 'Institutes of Eminence' recognized by the Government of India in 2018.
Hope it helped
The possibility of getting the seat in BIT depends upon the type of course or branch you want to pursue thet you have not specified here. More over there are chances of getting the admission in BIT but make sue that in which particular branch you want to go like civil, computer science, bio technology, electrical and many more. Based on the cutoff marks for various branches you have your chances of getting admission. I am sharing a link where you can find out the cutoff for various branches in BIT mesra and other details related to the courses and admission which will help you completely to get the idea about the selection of a particular branch according to your rank.

I hope this will help you.
All the best.
Thank you.
Dear candidate......., hope you're doing good..
Well, based upon your percentile in Jee Mains, you may not get admission in any of the campus of BITs. But you have to also give the entrance examination conducted by BITs i.e, BITSAT for getting admission into any of its campus. But still you must give it a try at the time of counseling .
Hope this helps.......
All the best:)
Hey aspirant
Based on the past record you have no chance with the other branches except for civil engineering. That is your last hope at vit chennai.however you can try your luck with the other branches like vit bhopal or ap.You have more chance of getting a seat there!you can possibly get a eee also! They are new campuses relatively their quality might not be as good as chennai or vellore ! However all tjis depends on what course you actually want.So try to get a good course like ece or civil .
Your other option is to try from other universities like srm or manipal. They are equally good butnot the best.Again depends on whether you have written their entrance exams.Try for bitsat also.
All the best ,choose wisely based on your intrest and scope.See what you genuinely like instead of just doing engineering because i have seen many regreting after taking the wrong course.
So i am sorry there wont be any seats available at vit vellore ,even in category 4 or 5.
All the best! :)
Hey jaya
I would definitely say that vit is better than amrita or gitam
Reason:
Pros:
1. Cosmopolitan culture
2. Recognised name and brand among students and parents
3. Educated high-class students
4. Equal opportunities for academics and co-curricular activities
5. Highly flexible system in terms of subjects, career options, time and mentor.
6. Sterling Placements (considering the mediocre level of education imparted)
7. Above average food as compared to other colleges in India
8. Excellent Infrastructure. Still admire the toilets being cleaned everyday.
At the end of the day all of us engineers realise and transfer ourselves to cse based coding companies. In terms of placements definitely cse chennai is better than ece vellore. It doesnt matter where you belong to.Chennai and vellore both have the placement at vellore only.So obviously cse is better than ece any day. 99% of the companies(core or IT) offer at least 3.25 lakhs to ECE undergrads. In my case only one company offered less than this. Core companies generally offer somewhere in the vicinity of 5–6 lakhs. Some might even offer 10+. And believe me you, there are quite a few(in 2014 we had Cadence, Cisco, McKinsey, Schlumberger, KLM Tencor, Future first, all offering salaries north of 10lakhs).
Then we have a few less paying firms like HP, Deloitte, Sapient, GM, GE and list goes on. All these pay above 5lpa but less than 8lpa. These are what placement cell classifies as the dream jobs. Get one and you lose your eligibility for the rest. And then there's mass recruitment, Accenture/Wipro/Infy etc.
Hope this helped :)

Cheers!
The infrastructure here is quite impressive. The classrooms are well-equipped, and while the labs have the basic tools you need. You'll find air-conditioned classrooms. The hostels are generally considered spacious and well-maintained, with daily cleaning, and each has its own dining hall. They also have night canteens, which is convenient. The college has a good library, fast Wi-Fi all over the campus, a medical center, and sports facilities. However, a few folks have suggested the cafeteria could use a facelift and that some washrooms might need better hygiene.
Classroom are equipped with whiteboard. The labs are adequately maintained. The library has a good collection of books. Our college has well maintained canteen providing quality food. The hostel in our college is decent.
The infrastructure of the course and hostels are average. Labs are fully functional and provide all the basic equipment but sometimes they do not work. Hostels are the minus point I think as there are no air-conditioners in the room. The mess food is not worth it.
