hello sourabh malame ,

if you get 190 marks in total in MHT-CET you can easily get CEOP college pune .

Dear Shubham

COEP (College of Engineering Pune) affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, is one of oldest and most reputed engineering college in India, being that, you must expect medium to high cutoff marks in GATE Mechanical to get admission into it.

The cut-off marks for mechanical varies every year, but a score of 500+ gives you decent chances of getting admission into it. There are two catches to this,

A) M.Tech in Mechanical engineering has 3 specializations

1. Automotive Technology

2. Design Engineering

3. Thermal Engineering,

Each branch has different cutoff marks, Design Engineering usually having the highest cutoff.

B) You must fill application and apply to this even at low GATE score because, many times if seats are not filled, there is a seperate list of candidates (even with score lower then cutoff marks) though which candidates get admission in M.Tech programs in COEP.

You can find more details about M.Tech at COEP in the link givn below

Hello Sourabh,

First of congratulation for scoring so well in exam.As per the last year cutoff you can easily get admission in College of Engineering, Pune. Following are the last year cutoff for open category. Cutoff for VJ cast is slighlty less than open category but as per your marks you are qualified for both so no need to worry.

Last year cutoff are as follows:-

  • Civil Engineering - 152
  • Computer Engineering - 174
  • Electrical Engineering - 161
  • Mechanical Engineering - 165

Upgiven are some cutoff marks for the preferred branches of COEP for open category.

Now you can estimate that you are not going to face any issue regarding your MH-CET marks. And for your boards you need 45% aggregate in which Maths and Physics are compulsory with any additional subject.

For more queries you can write us.

Thank you

Hello Saloni,

College of Engineering,Pune is an autonomous institute that offers admission in various B.Tech and M.Tech programs. As for lateral entry, the college gives lateral entry admissions to candidates n the 2nd year of B.Tech course if they have completed the 3 year diploma. So, yes you can take admission.

Hello Yash,
Admissions in College of engineering Pune is based on the performance in MHCET not in jee mains,so you have to apply for MHCET and try to score more than 150 marks to get good branches there.
Good luck.

Electrical Engg - 178

E&TC Engg - 180

Hey Prasoon.

See the GATE marks are valid for two years tenure so u can use ur 2018 marks to avail any kind of admission this year in the colleges for ur higher studies.

But since the paper this year was of low standard the cut off marks for the admission in the colleges might increase. The marks u have scored is enough for u to get qualified but might not be sufficient for u to get admissioned in the good colleges like NITs and IITs.

Hope u got my point. Ask if u are having any query.

Good luck

Hii karthik

In 2018, it is expected that there will be only one entrance exam to take admission in engineering program including state and private level except IITs.
COEP is a government college which takes admission through MHT CET. You need to score more than 170 marks in MHT CET to get this college in CSE branch.

All the Best!!

College of Engineering Pune does not have Minority Quota seats. You can also check the seat Matrix of College Of Engineering Pune with the given below link.

Classrooms are mediocre in terms of design and comfort as is the WiFi network. Libraries and sports facilities are good. Canteen is clean and hygienic however the Boat Club canteen could do with some work.

Best Engineering College Ever
