Hello mam,
Congratulations on the result.Since NITs are preffered to IIITs i suggest you to go for NIT jalandar as it is better than NIT hamirpur according to the rankings. If you prefer branch over college,ECE has wide opportunities as the student can go either towards core side or software side
Hi aspirant,
NIT Jalandhar is one of the good NITs of our country. The seat allocation under JoSAA in these NITs is based on category rank and you have not mentioned your category. Hence it is bit difficult for me to answer it properly. Nevertheless, if you belong to General category then to get top branches you need to get really good percentile like 97 or 98 plus. The maximum closing rank for previous year for general category candidates in NIT Jalandhar was around 83,000 for Production and industrial engineering under homestate quota and the maximum closing rank for general category candidates was around 40,000 for Biotechnology under other state quota. If you are interested in such branches and to you have homestate quota then you will have to get 93 or 94 percentile approximately.
Hope I answered your query.
Hi aspirant,
You have obtained 92 percentile in JEE Main and want to get admission in NIT Jalandhar. With this percentile your Common Rank list (CRL) would be 84,000. You have not mentioned your category. Hence it is bit difficult to tell this. Nevertheless, you can use our college predictor tool by clicking on the following link to predict your college and branch: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?ici=cp-listing_engineering&icn=JEE-Main-College-Predictor
Hope I answered your query.
Hi aspirant,
You have obtained 92 percentile in JEE Main and are willing to take admission in NIT Jalandhar. The seat allocation in JoSAA is done based on category. You have not mentioned your category which restricts me to not answer more than this. Nevertheless, Based on 92 percentile your Common Rank list (CRL) rank would be 84,000. With this rank it will be pretty hard for you to get NIT Jalandhar unless you belong to very reserved categories. You can predict your college and branch by using our college predictor tool by clicking on the following link: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?ici=cp-listing_engineering&icn=JEE-Main-College-Predictor

Hey Aspirant,
Every branch is good in their own way. It just the matter of interest but if you seriously want to change your branch then you can go for computer science and engineering as today everything is about software development and programming and the market is hot there so there are various opportunities there as people from all branches learn coding just to get into some IT company so there is a option. So just do some research about the branch and then decide.
Hope this helps.
All the best and Thank you!
Hello aspirant!!!
You have got a very good percentile in hee mains examination. You might be getting your preferred course in your preferred college if you belong to Sc or ST since you belong to general catogory you will not be getting into that college. Though you get into nit you may not be getting your dream course.
