No nit Jalandhar is among top 10 nits .There is no chance for getting admission in these low marks

For the home state category, you have to score 95percentile whereas for other state category you have to score 97.5 percentile to get a seat in NIT Jalandhar for core branches.
For non core branches you have to score almost 93.50 percentile.

Well it depends on how the state counselling goes as well as the all India counselling.
Like if you are the decendent of the same state then it might be possible to get the seat at the very first counselling or else after few rounds it will be

NIT Durgapur is better than NIT Jalandhar. NIT Durgapur is much older than NITJ and thus has more alumni than NITJ. NIT Jalandhar was established later so have better infrastructure but NITD is undergoing massive infrastructure modernisation. As it is located in Bengal and Bengal had produced well known scientist

College Infrastructure
So good infra, the classrooms,labs ,libraries are well maintained and also the hostel are in good condition and also we have access all over the campus,the living spaces are neat and clean and also they have free gym for students.
as a mechanical student, nice environment!!

departments such as my department, which is department of mechanical engineering are very good in terms of machineries and other tools, classes are also sort of good if we analyze comparing to other colleges
