MY WBJEE RANK IS 1732 MAY I GET CIVIL ENGINEERING IN IIEST

IIEST accepts only JEE MAINS score. It doesn't accept WBJEE score.

Hello Pritam, with that rank you'd barely get Mining or Meta in IIEST under home state quota. And for Jadavpur it depends on WBJEE not JEE(M). I'd suggest you to try for other NITs/GFTIs.

Dear Gokul, you can't get any iit's with jee mains rank. You will have to clear jee advanced for that.

Hey , you have nearly zero chance of getting a seat in IIEST Shibpur with these marks . So try your luck in any other college . You can also use JEE MAINS college predictor tool to find the lust of best possible colleges.

hlw i am subrata mondal from durgapu i ranked 2151 in obc-b quota and 35104 in gmr can i get mechanical engineering in shibpur??

Hi Subrata,

Your rank as per OBC-B category is quite good. The cut off rank for OBC in Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur for Mechanical Engineeering is around 5366-12116 for home state candidate and 5062-5837 for other state candidate. You are way ahead of the cut off.

Base upon your rank and the previous year cutoff trends , you are not eligible for admission in NIT , Durgpur or IIEST Shibpur as your rank is quite less than the cutoff ranks of these colleges.

Firstly it does not matter whether you are a female or a male while seat allotment so please remove that misconception first.Now about the rank secured by you In JEE MAIN 2018(51240) is not enough for you to get a seat in the pretigious IIEST shibpur(Former SHIBPUR ENGINEERING

A bit old but has classy British era vibes feels you are in a different era , quite and peaceful. Festivals are a joy here , culture is the best thing you get here and learn things apart from regular studies.

College Infrastructure

I find the campus historical and beautiful, but the buildings are visibly very old and need modernization. My Electronics and Telecommunication labs have basic equipment, but I look forward to better instruments in later years. The library resources are vast and excellent for my studies. I know the infrastructure is average, but the heritage value is high.

College Infrastructure

It has moderate infrastructure not too good like other nits, like the spirit of Kolkata it is having old vibes as well as new developments. Classes of electrical are fully equipped with ACs and fans, green board and projector also. Machine Lab will give you old vibe, it has machines of 100 years old and all functional, well maintained. While the electronic labs are new(Not that old of machine lab). Sports : All the sports can be available in a college is there. hostels are fully equipped with wifi, washing machine, both type of washrooms and well maintained. Library is of both type E-library and normal library both comprised in single building. There is computer center is also in that building for online exams. and all the rooms in library is fully AC equipped. Not all books but all the books which are required for academic is there.
