Is iiest best or nit

IIEST is a very good college but NIT are numerous in number. Some NIT's like warangal trichupalli and more are better than IIEST but IIEST stand's tall when compared with NIT which are newly opened or are not so impressive.

Your 12th percentage should be more than 60% for taking admission through jee mains in iiest shibpur.....so think according to that.....

I may get EEE or mech in IIEST,shibpur with my Jee mains rank and in bits Hyd campus, I will be getting Msc physics or maths.

It depends on your interest. If u really want good placement branch EEE OR MECH will be my recommendation

Which college is best for civil engineering, North East NITS or IIEST Shibpur?

If you are talking about nit Trichi, Warangal, Surthkal.
IIEST is not a preferable choice. Only few companies visit for On-campus placements for Civil in IIEST.

Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur has a large and peaceful campus with modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, a big library, sports facilities, hostels, and greenery all around. The college gives students a good environment for study, research, and campus life.

A bit old but has classy British era vibes feels you are in a different era , quite and peaceful. Festivals are a joy here , culture is the best thing you get here and learn things apart from regular studies.

College Infrastructure

I find the campus historical and beautiful, but the buildings are visibly very old and need modernization. My Electronics and Telecommunication labs have basic equipment, but I look forward to better instruments in later years. The library resources are vast and excellent for my studies. I know the infrastructure is average, but the heritage value is high.
