I would suggest you NIT Jamshedpur for Mining engineering. It is pretty good for it and has great placement in comparision of IIEST & Durgapur.

SIR i did not secure 75'/, in boards but i have a good rank in jee main as 38000 can i get iiest shibpur

Your board percent might not matter for IIEST, but I believe the admission counselling for gen. Candidates closes at around 25000 rank in jee mains.Unless you belong to some reserved quota, you will find difficulties in getting a stream.

Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur has a large and peaceful campus with modern classrooms, well-equipped labs, a big library, sports facilities, hostels, and greenery all around. The college gives students a good environment for study, research, and campus life.

A bit old but has classy British era vibes feels you are in a different era , quite and peaceful. Festivals are a joy here , culture is the best thing you get here and learn things apart from regular studies.

College Infrastructure

I find the campus historical and beautiful, but the buildings are visibly very old and need modernization. My Electronics and Telecommunication labs have basic equipment, but I look forward to better instruments in later years. The library resources are vast and excellent for my studies. I know the infrastructure is average, but the heritage value is high.
