Hi Aspirant,

Most of the IITs dont offer Bsc physics but most of them offers Btech in Engineering Physics and some offers integrated courses in Msc Physics which is sort of a hybrid course,The application criteria remains to same as cracking the IIT JEE exam (Advanced).Whatever be the programme, you have to secure admission through the JEE Advanced itself.

Hope it helps!!

Hi,

Well as far as IITs are concerned, getting a seat there for biotechnology won't be possible and even in your category, getting a seat is quite difficult. But as stated, many IISERs take admission and you might qualify for interview in some of them. But keep in mind that you will have to register for admission in them separately on their official website. Just follow the details mentioned there and register for admission.

I hope this helps.

All the best.

Hello,

You have to get in through one of these competitive exams:

KVPY: If you have a rank below 300250 in SA or SX stream, then you can get admission in IISc for UG.

JEE Advanced: If you get around the good score in advance, you can get admission.

NEET: If you get a rank under 300, you can get admission. (However, when it was AIPMT, the cutoff rank was 600)

So as you can see, it is very difficult through JEE and NEET so KVPY is your best bet. Maths is not compulsory, but you will have maths courses in college.

All the best!!

I believe you are confused. Admission to Engineering Physics Course at IIT Bombay is through JEE Advanced. In JEE Advanced, unlike JEE Main there is no Percentile System. Being from OBC NCL, you need a OBC NCL Rank anywhere around 1.4k to secure your seat at IITB Engineering Physics or a Corresponding CRL between 7.5-8.5k in JEE Advanced. According to my experience, securing anywhere near 35% Marks in JEE Advanced, in a Moderate to Tough Paper, lands you in Rank Range 7-9k, varying with each year.

As far as IISc Bangalore BS Admission Criteria and Cutoffs are concerned do follow the link below
