Dear Aspirant,

The most famous course of IISC Bangalore is the Undergraduate program in engineering and to get admission in that course, you need to give JEE Exam.

It is a test on the basis of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in your 11th and 12th science.

It is conducted in two phases one is JEE Main. The exam is of 300 marks with 25 questions from each section making 100 marks per section. Students who have cleared the cutoff ( 40-80 marks depending upon the category) are eligible for the admission process in the NITs, GFTIs and the second phase of the exam, JEE ADVANCED.

The admission in IISC are through the JEE Advanced exam.

Hope this helps.

As you want to go for Postgraduation in CSE through IISC Bangalore so you should try to secure your rank under 1000 in GATE examination, than only you can get CSE branch.

As CSE branch is the most demanding branch nowadays hence competition is also high. Therefore cut-off is also very high.

Hello dear student,

There are many differences between IISC and IIT but mainly it is their approach we would like to talk about. IISC is more research oriented while it is more of a engineering College where students are mostly motivated to get some amazing package so that they can work in India or abroad with some good companies. It's totally depends upon the student what he / she really wants . while for the more differences here I am attaching the link there you can see the difference between both of the colleges including campus and faculty , also all other important information. https://www.careers360.com/compare-colleges?college=414-2-course=0-0

Thank you

Hello dear student,

As you want to go for MTech so I assume you are more research oriented and you want to to focus on the core. You can choose any between IISC and IIT. But because of your research interest I would preferably ask you to go for IISC as is mainly known for its approach for research and core branches. While IITM we have better placement scenarios from campus itself.

I hope you got some answer out of this and I hope this is helpful for you.

Thank you

Hey Ravi

Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore is a very research oriented institution and focuses more on learning and application based knowledge especially in Undergraduate courses. Therefore placements in undergraduate courses is minimal, there are few students who apply for placements and some of them get selected.  Most of the placements record have been set up by PhD and Masters program students. Last year 2-3 students from undergraduate program got selected for placement in Ernst and Young for about ~6-7 lakhs per annum.

If you want to have a good research oriented program and you want to study further, then IISC's undergraduate program is the best in the country, but if your aim is for placements after graduation then you might look up to some IITs'.

Hi,

The Institute offers B.Sc (research) program which is a 3 years program and the candidate applying should have minimum of 60% in 10+2 (PCM). The selection process is based on merit in KVPY/ JEE MAIN/ JEE Advanced. You should be scoring atleast 60% in JEE MAIN to be eligible for the admission.

I hope it helps.

Hey there

It actually depends on your passion and interest. But honestly it will be very beneficial if you'll do MBA from top 20 B schools because a minimum of 14-15 lakhs is average salary of an MBA from top B schools. Though fees is high but it's not an issue bif you'll get good package. Mtech from IITs or IISC in material engineering is not that worth doing as compared to other branches. But at last its your choice and by doing mtech it will be cheaper and you can get job or you can study further for research as well this it's best part.

Good luck

Sindhuja, now there is no upper age limit for NEET which means you can appear for NEET. Having a gap is not a problem should you secure a good rank. Many Candidates drop a year or 2 before cracking NEET and joining Colleges. Such Candidates produce gap certificates. So even you can submit a gap certificate and you should be absolutely fine. You should score a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC, SC, ST. As long as you fulfil thus criteria, you are eligible for NEET.

Hi

If you are sure about going for space research, IIST is the obvious choice. You will get direct exposure to facilities like ISRO in your studies there. However, if you are not very clear about your field of specialisation, and want to go for research, I suggest you should pick IISc. It can provide a more multi-faceted experience to a student, and can help you narrow down to the field of your interest, in which you can later pursue higher education.

Hope this helps!
