Hello Kunal

No you can not get admission in IISC Bangalore with this percentile score .

Your approximately rank will be more than 1 lakhs but you need to be secure rank under 250 for admission ( or even more) and for this you have to secure 99.97 + percentile.

So good luck.

Hi aspirant

To get PSU jobs you need rank under 300 but still there can be variation in this due to change in the cut off.

If you are looking for PSU jobs you must have applied for PSUs on their official website under "careers" section. If not then you are too late as almost all of the PSUs have closed their application.

If you want to join IITs you should apply for counselling otherwise you are going to miss this too.

Though you have scored enough to get a college or PSUs but you need to apply for them otherwise there is no use of your score.

Visit the link to check the cut off of PSUs:https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/what-are-gate-scores-for-psu-recruitment

Know more about cunselling procedure :https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/gate-counselling

Hope this helps you.

In order to get admission into IISc Bangalore, the merit in JEE Main+Advanced or KVPY is taken into account. On the basic of JEE Main+Advanced, the eligibility criteria is a minimum of 60% matks in JEE main and advanced for General category students, 54% for OBC NCL and 30% for SC/ST. The cut offs however are quite high. They go upto 320/360 for General category students, 220+ for OBC and 180+ for SC/ST. For JEE advanced, the general category cut off is 280/504.
On the basis of KVPY, the cut off rank for SA is under 350. For SX stream, the cut off is again 350.
Hope this helped. Good luck.

Hi Nischal,

Iisc doen't participate in josaa counselling. For securing admission into Iisc, bangalore one needs to fill up the application form of the institute. The institute takes admission on the basis of jee, neet and kvpy. You need to secure a very good rank to be selected there.

Note- Last date to fill the application form of institute is 30.04.2019.

Hope it helps.

Nischal,

If your percentile is 99.8 your score is definitely around 290-300.

And that is very good score and With that score you can get CSE IN IIIT HYDERABAD.  AS last year cut off for IIIT Hyderabad was 260. For CSE.  So you will definitely get CSE IIIT HYDERABAD.

For IISC Banglore last year cut off rank was 250. Now to calculate rank for 99.8 percentile is risky it may fetch you rank of 100 or 500. No one can predict.

So you need to wait for Jee Main rank to get admission in IISC BANGLORE.

BUT YOU WILL DEFINITELY GET IIIT HYDERABAD CSE.

Hi pal,

According to your rank, you can go for IIT and NIT for persue  MSc physics. Though du is also one of the best for pg in physics, but iit having it's own slandered,  you can easily get seat in any iit or nit by this rank.

Hope this will help you.

Good luck.

The department of Instrumentation and Applied Physics pursues research activities in the applied physics field. It's a fairly broad domain. They are :
Applied Photonics: Sensing, microscopy and nanoscale imaging
Materials Research: Material Science and engineering, surface engineering
Integrated systems: Integrated systems and electronics, syatem designs and instrumentations
Energy and Environment: Energy systems, environment and urbas solutions

For someone having a background in mechanical engineering, applied physics is essentially a bridge between theoretical physics and engineering. So, an applied physicist designs a lab equipment and a mechanical engineer designs products like Air conditioner and stuff, just an example about the difference between the two.
These two disciplines merge quite often and work in parallel with each other. So, career wise, it's a very good choice to opt for Applied physics and Instrumentation branch at IISc.

College Infrastructure

Our college provides excellent Wi-Fi. The labs have good computers. Classrooms are clean and have good lighting effects. The library has many books. The good part is that they allow us to borrow for many days, and the penalty is less for late submissions. Every odd semester, we have a fest. The hostel is not very good, and the food is not good.
