Hi Ramasai.

IISc Bangalore is one of the reputed institutes for research in India. It doesn't provide any placement assistance as such. Most students go for further studies and get to research at some of top prestigious research centres.

Unlike engineering and IT, Science courses such as geology and life sciences are not where you can expect placements from.

For a IISc Alumni, there are no derth for good opportunities.

All the best.

Hello Akhilesh,
Yes, you are eligible for IISc. You can do BS,MS, and PhD programs. You have to give KVPY exam to get into IISc.

Hi Akhilesh katikatala
So , firstly congratulations on completing your 10+2
. And I must tell you that the choice you have made is excellent
Indian Institute of Science (IISc) is a public university  it offers education in the area of science & research.
This is a reputed college and has a lot of exposure .
Well The admission into these courses will be based on entrance exams of JEE Main, KVPY, GATE, NEET, JAM, etc. And yes KVPY is one of them .

Now there is an eligibity criteria for the same which is as below :
1. You must have to pass 10+2 examination  with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics ( PCM) as the main subject from a recognized board.

2. If you have done biology for any other additional course along with PCM then also you are eligible for this . But PCM is necessary

3. You have to secure minimum 60% in the qualifying examination

So once you have cleared the KVPY  cut off for  iis:

1. Based on the rank of KVPY fellow, Offer letter will be  sent to you by email for the KVPY-SA, SB and SX streams respectively.

2. Then, a counselling session will be held for the same in the IISc campus.

3. The participation in the counselling session is mandatory for confirming the seat in the Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme.

4. You must carry a copy of the offer letter and provisional fellowship award letter from KVPY at the time of counseling.

Thank u
I hope I was helpful

College Infrastructure

Our college provides excellent Wi-Fi. The labs have good computers. Classrooms are clean and have good lighting effects. The library has many books. The good part is that they allow us to borrow for many days, and the penalty is less for late submissions. Every odd semester, we have a fest. The hostel is not very good, and the food is not good.
