Hello Harsh,
Congratulations to you for obtaining such a good marks. Your raw score would be almost 720-732 and corresponding rank would lie between 2000-2440.
Your scores are good, there will be a chance to get seat in old IITs  like IIT Bhu and top NITs.
I hope you get it.
Good luck...

Hello Saksham,

It is hard to say that you can get an IIT or not, as it depends on your AIR. If you have an AIR less than 600, then there is a chance you might get into IIT.

The GATE marks that you score in that three hour exam. This depends on the difficulty level of the question paper.

Eg. 48 marks in GATE 2012 may be equivalent to 35 makrs in GATE 2013.

So your selection in IIT depends on your All india Rank.

Hope this will help.

Thanks

Metallurgical engineering does not have good placement records at any IIT even most of the core branches including mechanical civil are also not that good at placement the only branches which are good at placement you find it any engineering college or computer science and engineering electronics and communication engineering electronics and electrical engineering therefore if you are among the students for pursuing this courses then there are plenty of chances that you will be placed otherwiseev the students who are from other branches and get placed choose their profile as programmer for data scientist.

624 marks was cutoff last year for Civil engineering in General category for GATE exam at BHU.

Cutoffs for this year mayvary depending on student performance and exam difficulty.

Hi priyank,

Surely iit Bhu is better than iit bhuvaneshwar ,because it is not fair to compare a new IIT with a 100years old institute with well connected alumini.most importantly placement senario is very good compare with IIT bhuvaneshwar .

So iit Bhu is best in all criteria compared with IIT bhuvaneshwar.

Thanks.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of this IIT needs to be improved as far as other IITS are concerned. We will find decent hostels situated on campus. It also has its own mess, which provides decent food. Classrooms are also well-equipped with modern facilities. Here, the library has very limited capacity so it needs to be expanded.
