IIT BHU Facilities

The 1300-acre campus of IIT BHU offers a wide range of facilities and infrastructure that includes all the academic necessities along with recreational areas. IIT BHU facilities provide a comfortable environment for students. The institute campus is surrounded by a lush green campus that is pleasant and calm for its students. They provide full residential facilities to students from across the country, and the environment of the campus encourages students to learn and grow most efficiently.

IIT BHU facilities list also includes a separate hostel for boys and girls with Wifi connectivity and indoor play areas are provided to students. Sports facilities both indoor and outdoor for student recreational time along with a gym are offered on the campus. IIT BHU has libraries with lots of books from research publications to educational content that are necessary for students’ knowledge development. Boys Hostel
he institute offers accommodation facilities to students from other states in the campus. Separate rooms are given for boys and girls. Their rooms are air conditioned with WIFI connections along with TV, recreational area, laundry and security system. They are provided regular breakfast, lunch, tea and dinner meals on a timely basis.
Girls Hostel
The IIT BHU has a hostel facility which provides good and a safe hostel accommodation for the girl students.
Medical/Hospital
The institute offers medical service to its students and staff to ensure their safety and cater to their emergency health issues. An ambulance for emergency cases are kept, and their expert paramedics are present in the campus.
Gym
The IIT BHU has a Gymnasium facility for the students.
Library
The main library has subscribed some e-resources like databases, e-journal, e-books, e-standards, etc. to keep researchers up to date with the latest developments in their research field. The library has a rich collection of books on engineering, Science & technology and a little collection in the areas of humanities and social sciences. The library also has a very good collection of bound volume of old (Since 1918) and new periodicals, codes and, standards etc.
Sports
IIT BHU facilities in terms of sports include Tennis court, basketball court, swimming pool, volleyball court, and many more sports facilities are offered by the institute. Gym is provided for both boys and girls to keep their health in check and stay active while academic pursuance.
I.T Infrastructure
The University has 100-kilometer long fiber optic backbone of Campus-wide LAN, connecting all academic and administrative buildings as well as hostels with a well-equipped Computer Centre, providing high-end computing and training facilities. The University has been provided three 1 Gbps nodes of National Knowledge Network (NKN) under NME-ICT.
Cafeteria
The IIT BHU offers a cafeteria for students to have a break and enjoy their meal. They offer various meals and snacks for students with a range of food menus. Hostellers are provided breakfast, lunch, and dinner in their cafeteria.
Auditorium
The IIT BHU has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

Contributions of IIT-BHU in extending the frontiers of knowledge in critical areas and in the regeneration and efflorescence of community values is well manifested through its alumni who form a great chain of distinguished personalities throughout the world occupying key positions in varied professional domains

The IIT BHU has a Wi-Fi facility for the students and staff.
Laboratories
UG laboratories in all the departments where most common facilities are located have been modernized. Tinkering labs have already been established in many Departments and some more are going to be in place shortly.

College Infrastructure

It almost had every facility provided in the infrastructure. Be it sports grounds, lecture theatres, hostels The only issue is that some hostels are really old and they have very less space for double occupancy

College Infrastructure

Need to improve the infrastructure as all the buildings, roads and departments are quite old and need lot of improvements.The institute has well-equipped classrooms, lecture theatres, and advanced laboratories for engineering, science, and interdisciplinary research. Many departments have specialized research centers with modern instruments to support innovation and practical learning. The central library is extensive, offering a vast collection of books, journals, and digital resources. Students also have access to high-speed internet and computer centers across the campus. For accommodation, IIT BHU provides multiple hostels for boys and girls with basic amenities, Wi-Fi, and mess facilities. Sports infrastructure includes playgrounds, courts, and a gymnasium for activities like cricket, football, badminton, and athletics. The campus also has auditoriums, seminar halls, and a large amphitheater used for cultural and technical events such as Technex IIT BHU and Kashiyatra IIT BHU. In addition, healthcare facilities, banks, shopping complexes, and green spaces make the campus self-sufficient and student-friendly, creating a balanced academic and social environment.

College Infrastructure

IIT BHU has most of the essential infrastructure and facilities needed for academics and campus life. The classrooms and laboratories are well equipped and functional, supporting both coursework and research.
