I am under obc category, preparing for jee advanced 2018. What is the rank required [maximum] to get admission in iit Bombay.

Being an OBC category candidate, to get in IIT Bombay, in top branches like CSE (a rank within 50) For Mechanical engineering, EE you need to score a rank within 500 and for branches like Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering aim a rank within 1000.

They don't send a call letter you have to participate in the counselling if your name is on merit list.

what marks and rank (in general rank) a SC candidate need to get civil , mechanical , or electrical , in IIT KHARAGPUR / IIT BOMBAY

According to counselling year of 2016-2017, for IIT Bombay & kharagpur, u need to rank under atleast 2500 (general), 650 (SC) to get those subjects according to 6 rounds of counseling.. Best of luck...

iit bombay ka chem. me total 124 seats hai per closing rank 1507 how it is possible ki 124 seats main 1507?????????

It is not always sequence-wise, some even drop or surrender the seat, some go for better branches and institutes using the slide and float options, thus the subsequent ranks get the seats.
