CSAB special round is conducted to fill the seats in NITs IITs and GFTIs left vacant after the initial rounds. Since the competition for these reputed institutes is so high , that one can expect all the seats to get filled in special round , as there are many students who apply for CSAB special round , but only a few seats are left vacant or are available.so ,all the seats get filled after special round of CSAB and no seat is left vacant.

For getting into NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and IITs. You need to qualify JEE Mains with a good score to get NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. The better you score the more prestigious college you get in. And For IITs you need to qualify JEE-Advance. Getting into IIITs is easier Then NITs. As IIITs are pretty new and cutoff are a bit low.

Yes, location does affect the placements as many companies sometimes are not willing to go to the college situated at a place with poor connectivity. However, poor connectivity and location situated in a village are different things. If your college is situated in a village 50km from the city but you are on some national highway with good connectivity then it does not affect the placements.

Also, some colleges have their placement offices in city locations if the campus is in some remote location. Check out if the college of your interest has the same.

A brief review:

Faculty of college is very good. They are highly knowledgeable and well experienced. Most of them are PhD in their respective domain or pursuing it from various IITs.Faculty is very supportive to students and easily accessible.

Labs are in good condition. Most of the equipments are available in the Labs. For sports Volleyball and Badminton courts ,Cricket cum Football ground are available in campus. Students play chess, carrom etc.

The college follows IIIT Hyderabad in terms of course curriculum which is most updated in country. For this IIT Guwahati mentor the institute.

Events such as orientation program and SPANDAN for new students in month of August. Inter-college cultural meet EK BHARAT SHRESHTH BHARAT. And various sports competition and workshops , seasons on various topics by professors via video conferencing.

The college was established in 2017, so the first batch will pass out in 2021. But, the college is under the mentorship of IIT Guwahati, so you can hope for good placements. But till now, there is no active placement cell in our college. It may start functioning from next year.

Dear student, definitely location plays a role on the entry of companies. But these IIITs come with all the facilities and amneties for students growth. Even NIT Trichy is off area but it is one of the topmost institutions in India with 100% placements for CSE. There is no placement record for these new IIITs, and hence it can't be predicted with accuracy. But definitely, the companies would come over there to recruit students.

I have mentioned in various answers and blog and i will mention it again. "Do not run for the colleges if you have a particular interest in any certain branch". Please do not select any branch just for the sake of college. Branch over College if the colleges are at same tangent.

BIT Mesra and IIIT Bhub both are good so please go for the branch.

NITs, IIITs and Cftis all the three institute are the best and one get admission only on having a very good rank. Now coming to the preference you should first go for NIT's and then IIITs and then GFTI's though there are some exceptions as some IIITs are more better than the NIT's and same some CFIs are more better than the IIITs so it also depends which nit, IIIT or CFI you are choosing.

It varies from college to college. If you got an allotment in any of the IIT then they will either communicate to you through mails or through the official announcements on their website. So just stay updated and visit their website regularly. Also check your mails regularly. Incase nothing works then keep in touch with their admission cell
