The basic eligibility criteria for genetic engineering is 10+2 passed with biology , chemistry and physics as main subjects . As you satisfy the eligibility criteria , you can apply for genetic engineering .But getting a seat depends upon your merit or marks obtained in entrance exam or your 10+2
