Believe me don't gor for NIRF rank, if you are looking for placement.  Among these three, don't  chose NIT durgapur if you are not from bengal. You may chose NIT Bhopal or NIT Surat,according to other parameters. If you are intrested in CIVIL then only go for it else

The CSE of any college is best branch at present. And even IT is better than mechanical at their. But mechanical is also good branch there. Durgapur has lots of industries. Being mechanical engineer you will get job more easily there.

As per your information you have less chances to get Bio-Technology in NIT Durgapur. As per previous year cutoff was around 7,000 for SC category.
