Since youre getting ECE at NIT Durgapur, I dont think you should really consider ECE at VIT. Of course incase you get CSE at VIT, that might be the only case when still you may prefer it over NIT. However, apart from NIT Durgaput ECE, I believe at your respective CRL/Category you may get Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/Chemical at many Top NITs, and you may prefer them instead, as well as CSE at many of the NITs like Patna as well as many GFTIs and IIITs.

Hi,
NIT Andhra is one of newly established NITs. The average package for 2019 batch in NIT Andhra was 5.87 Lakh while the NIT Durgapur has average package of around 9 Lakh. Also NIT Durgapur has better Rankings than NIT Andhra. I suggest you to go for NIT Durgapur as it is better than NIT Andhra.
Thanks!!!!
Hello,
Congratulations on getting such good college and branch options. I will give you a preference list which will comprise of all these factors:
The preference order you should consider is:
As a branch considering the current scenario and employability status I would suggest going for Chemical than Metallurgy because of the following factors:
I would also like to add here that an engineering course should be very much taken with an interest in the field so I would suggest you to consider that factor and if you are not aware of the branches mentioned look them up on the internet more reliable will be to go through the syllabus on the respective colleges' website. An interest in the field is the key factor in deciding how your $ years of college will be and what opportunities you will land for yourself.
Good luck, hope it helps!!

The campus boasts modern infrastructure with well-equipped laboratories, smart classrooms, and a comprehensive library stocked with the latest resources. High-speed Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the campus, facilitating seamless online learning. Hostel facilities are commendable, offering clean rooms and hygienic food. Sports complexes and recreational areas are well-maintained, promoting a balanced student life.
NIT Durgapur has some very old buildings, but the newly formed Academic block, utkarsh bhawan is very good infrastructures. Library also good. Senior hostels are little bit less maintained, but hostels for 1st year and 2nd years are good.
Not par with the NIT standard. Sports could be better, lots of unutilized area in campus. Academics is good, most professors are interactive. Good club culture, allows student to learn outside of academics.
