yes NIT hamirpur is a good option for sure . its ranking as well as its infrastructure is quite good . the placement is quite good and good thing is its getting better .however its fees for material science is quite high and can cost you about 2 lacs per year without including hostel fee . there is also shortage of transprtation facilities . so research a bit more about this college before taking the final decision

Yes. During the time of registration for your seat in NIT Hamirpur, you have to produce all the documents like your 12th marksheet, Mains application number, 12th passing certificate, category certificate if you have applied under any reserved category, domicile certificate(home state proof), etc.

All of these documents are needed to be produced at the time of the counseling procedure. If you have taken the gap year, then the gap certificate is also a must produced document.

Now coming to your query, You didn't mention your category so I am providing you the 2018 NIT, Hamirpur B arch cutoff rank for all Categories under Home quota if your rank is somewhat around previous year cutoff rank then you may have chances to get a seat but we can't be sure because cutoff changes every year based on various factors. 2018 NIT, Hamirpur B Arch cutoff is as follows:

Last year the closing rank under home state was 11590 and under other state was 4182.

The closing ranks will vary every year based on the no of applicants , no of seats available etc.

It is very difficult for you to get an NIT based on your score, because NITs are government colleges with a very high cut-off.  You can still try for NITs through JoSAA because we never know what might happen. You should also consider which course you want to pursue and not just take any, just because it's an NIT.

No dear, counseling of every NIT is done by JOSAA, so it is needed to take part in JOSAA only.

Hi ! No you can't get nit harimpur with such rank. Nit harimpur is a 2nd tier nit college. With home state also you can't get CSE. Still you get it only if you have a good luck and vacancy. So hope you understand and best of luck to you. Given below a link will be useful for you.

Most of the colleges in India provide a dual degree course where they give the student the degree of either MBA or M.Tech( The choice of student), In 5 years the students will have 2 degrees which normally takes 6 years. Now, In NIT Hamirpur, the engineering students are given an option to either take a 4 year course or a 5 year dual degree course. To take that decision, you must ask yourself these 2 questions:

1. Do you want to do M.Tech after your B.tech and go to research field.?

2. If yes, then would you rather complete your M.tech from India or would like to go abroad for further studies.

Now, if you think that you can study 5 years, with a chance to go for research sector. Then go ahead and take the dual degree course. But , If you want to take up a job after your B.tech then go for 4 year course and you may complete your MBA or Mtech while doing job or after a 2-3 years experience. 

In NITs, Both the 4 year and 5 year courses are good. So take above factor in account while choosing.

Hello Anchal, with that rank in JEE Mains and with the help of state quota you might be able to land yourself in NIT hamirpur but it is completely sure that branch you are going to get will not be of your choice. So my suggestions to you is that look for some good private college and with that of rank and obc quota you can also land yourself in PEC which is far better college that any NIT.
