Hello
PES is any time a better option than SRM due to the following reasons
1. Autonomous
2. Best private engineering institute in Karnataka ( for Comp and IT ).
3. Only 6-7 hours college, so you can concentrate on your extra curricular and coaching for higher studies.
4. Higher cut-offs. Pes-U has much higher cut offs than SRM .
5. Faculty. (most of them being PHD holders)
6. Cultural activities
7. Interdepartmental fests
8. They have open elective every semester.
If you are not sure whether you would get admissionin PES based on your marks I would suggest you to call the authorities and enquire about your chances. If money is not an issue then take the seat in SRM (although if you do get admission in PES SRM will not give you a 100% refund and they would also keep your original certificates. Also, SRM is expensive). If you are confident then you can cancel the seat in SRM but unless you are it is better to have options. All the best.
Hello Vanditha,
Main focus for the university is CSE ,but ECE also has a decent facilities. In terms of placements it is mixed sometimes good sometimes bad.Previous year 60% of the students got placed.Average package is about 3.5 lakh per annum and maximum is about 16 lakh per annum.Coming to college campus and environment is good fo stuying.Facilities are provided for ECE students and good classrooms and teachers. I hope it helped

Hello Ashish,
Yes there are possibilty to get a seat for 2nd round of counselling in pessat but it all depends on your rank.In previous year cutoff closing rank for cse in first round was 920 and for ECE it was 1599.Getting cse in 2nd round is difficult as compared to ece,eee ,it or mechanical.
Good Luck!
Swaroop, based on your rank and cutoffs, yes you can definitely get admission in PES Univeristy.
Other than Computer Science, you can get admission in all the other branches. This includes EC, EE civil, mechanical and biotech. But the again it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
Hope this helps!
All the best!
Kumari, it seems really difficult for you to get admission in PES University.
Usually they stop taking students for admission after 3k rank in the final round. But it depends on the number of students who appeared for the exam and as well as the difficulty of the paper. So you can still give it a try.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries.
Hope this helps!
All the best!
Hello..!!
You may get following branches according to previous year trends in the mentioned University though I can't confirm the scenario of this year but let's hope for the best:
Civil engineering in round 3
Biotechnology in round 3
This is for PES University.
Hope it helps
The campus is well-equipped with smart classrooms, good labs, and a reasonable library. Wi-Fi and tech infrastructure are of the highest order and it is easy to study. Hostel life is reasonable with good security and good food, though most prefer off-campus living
Good infrastructure it has big canteens and the class rooms are specious there are trees around the campus which make the infrastructure more better for studying it also has a big cricket ground and others sports are also there
great campus, well developed infrastructure, lot of canteens, facilities for both academic and non academic purposes which helps student balance both their fun and study activities, amazing environment for studies to learn as well
