the college has good facilities and ammenties, including proper labs and equipments. there our large, spacoius classrooms and a big library and good facilities. the living spaces and food avaliable is decent
i am studying computer science and engineering as i have an interest in this field. the quality of teachers is nice here. the curriculum has been updated in the year 2018 and is therefore up to date, the study does makes us job ready in terms of techical aspects.
the quality of placements are good here, at most times, 90 percent and above students get placed , with the higest package going to students from computer science branch, placement process is moderately easy
The college is best in infrastructure, all the technical equipmen, all facilities etc. The class are digital, our college has a digital and big library, it is a wifi spread campus which is clean an hygienic.
This college is ranked in 5th place in all over india in place of education, placements, etc . The education in this college is awesome and is fully updated with present technology. They give training in such a way that to get a job is easy for us .
The placements of our college is 89% , the top companies like Google , Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, tata, tech Mahendra, wipro , etc are some of the companies in which we will or may get placements. The average salary may be starts from 23k or 20k
Since it's a top college it is highly costed me , it costed nearly 3.5 lakhs per year and if urs is a payment seat then u need to pay a amount of 15 to 20 lakhs to buy a seat rather than that you can work hard and get a free seat in srm.
This college is best in all the aspects including all the cultural activities . The teachers in our college are friendly and will give good guidelines if we follow them it's more than enough to get a good percentage in our academics. The campus is safe and is located in Chennai main city.
I think so this college is best an if you want to pursue btch and willing to study in Chennai then this is best college for it.
Studying in the smallest branch of SRM university, the ambiance is delightful because of the centralized ACs. But being from an ECE background, the lack of equipment in the lab is a tad bit annoying. Pairing up is fun but when 4 to 5 people hoard up it's a bit of a hassle. The classrooms are just fine, only wished we had smart classrooms that could make learning fun. Food is hygienic but the choices are still limited in the mess.
I am currently pursuing electronics and communication engineering. I have no idea why and how I landed here being an MBBS aspirant. The quality of teaching ain't that bad. Yes, the curriculum sure does get updated every 2 years. If I have to be honest one learns more from the internet, for the institutions just grant us bookish knowledge which is far behind an industrial knowledge,. We learn no application-based knowledge.
So far everyone gets a job through the placements. It is what I heard of. Have no idea about the details for I am still in my third year. I can comment further once I happen to do my final year. For the time I am not eligible to write my opinion.
1.75 lacs per year, pretty expensive for a middle-class kid. It depends on the individual to make the money worth it. In this competitive world, no one has time for anyone but themselves. If one can not self learn and feels the need to be spoon-fed, the journey towards finding interests in a particular field becomes slow-paced. Miracles do happen only to those who strive for change and development.
My college has pretty much been about the people and the friend circles I happen to interact with. Among all the club activities I heard my true call in Model United Nations. Organizing MUNs was super hectic and surreal, a must to go with to spice up college life. The college is situated right beside a hospital, hence super safe for emergencies. Not to mention the placement of Forum mall behind the college, the most common getaway spot for the entire lot in college.
To me, college life is all about the people you happen to interact with. Make connections, try to socialize regardless of being an introvert, and do all sorts of things you have never done as a kid at school. Doesn't really matter which college you head to, hence I would not mind recommending this college. Regardless of its flaws, the college is still lively at times. Make the best of anything you have in hand; any college will seem pleasing from this introspect.
The college infrastructure is awesome. We have top class labs and gyms with high-quality equipment. Our sporting equipment too is up-to-date providing us with extensive amenities. Classrooms are well-equipped with the necessary things.
Academics could be better. Our professors are good but not great. The syllabus sometimes feels like it is not updated regularly. We do get great practical experiences in labs which helps us refine the concepts we learn in our classes.
Placements are usually good, especially for the computer science department. Even non-CSE departments usually sit for software placements and bag good jobs. Overall, placements are good in software sector but not so good for core jobs In other sectors.
So let me start this by telling you that SRM IST has the biggest campus in south india. The campus has all the necessary facilities which is needed. Starting from a Wifi in the class to projectors, everything is provided in the campus. I had no problem studying in the classes
Chennai, the highest literacy rate state. I don’t have to emphasise on the quality of education the college provided. However, there was a language barrier that proved to be a constraint sometimes. Other than that the syllabus, the practical knowledge etc was up to the mark
Well, honestly I didn’t get any placement from the college. Maybe because of the coronavirus situation and before that was the recession. Students from branches like CSE, IT get placed with 100% placements record. So if you are looking to get placements in automobile field, then I think it is not the right place
I found the tuition fee, accommodation fee a little high and by the end if you are not placed in a company then I believe there’s no return on investment. But I believe that the college gives students the best exposure that any other college might not offer. So if you are willing to do something, to make sure your reach increases then it can be done here
The campus life was simply amazing. I had a lot of fun, made new friends, although there are some faculties that won’t like talking to you but some faculties become friendly to you and you enjoy their company
Overall, I believe SRM is a very good college but make sure which branch do you want to get into. If it’s automobile, look for other options. I am not saying students don’t get placed at all but it gets a little difficult.
I have seen many colleges before joining SRM . But the reason I joined SRM apart from education is good infrastructure and facilities. libraries have good books and the thing is that we can access our college wifi. labs, sports, classrooms are good, places are very clean and hygienic. classrooms have projectors for better teaching
The good thing in SRM is academics .We can get quality education in SRM. The course syllabus are kept upto date by the institute authorities. The industrial exposure is provided by the college from 6th sem onwards. But before that a student on his own can do industrial trainings in which the faculty advisor and HoD of their departments do help.
In campus placements, SRM offers a lot of companies to work with. Although the average package is around 4-5 lakhs P.A, it can go upto 60 lakhs P.A. for some students. Alumni network in SRM is good. Top recruiting companies of our college are TCS, Infosys and Wipro. Nearly 50% of the students got internships in Ashok Leyland, TVS, etc. Top roles offered to the students are assistant manager, supervisor, etc.
Value for money is good. we can get quality education with all facilities and money is little bit high . But we get good labs, fests and many other that will make us feel good to join here . every rupee we spent will be useful
SRM has many technical and non-technical clubs. So extracurricular activities and events are carried out throughout the academic year. Also SRM has two fest- Milan (Cultural Fest) and Aaruush (Techno-Management Fest). Both are 4 day fest and a lot fun activities are held in those 4 days.
The overall experience was worth having it and has definitely helped me in growing my career. Apart from quality education, this college has a vast cultural diversity. This opens door for interaction with different kind of people. Also the lab equipments provided are good but not upto the mark which forms an important aspect for me as an Electronics and Communication Engineering pursuer.
Infrastructure is decent. All necessary facilities are there but it lacks in providing us proper filed and equipment for sports and extra curricular activities. Glad to note that our campus does have WIFI, improving from time to time. Everything is well maintained with AC classrooms and computer labs. Food hygiene is taken care of.Library and hostel are clean.
I am into B.tech in Computer Science with IBM data analytics course which is going to be our future need and survival. It has a major scope going forward. Talking about faculty, some south indian teachers are really impressive, they teach well. But some teachers lack subject knowledge. I would go for higher studies as this doesn't make me job ready.
This college does not attract very high placements. It has tie up with a few companies and offers their courses to us such as IBM's Data Analytics. Average package offered is 3-4 lacs per annum. Few percentage of students are able to get placed.
My course costs me around 2lacs a year which is a huge investment. And if I am not able to get placed from the college, then it is not worth spending. However, the burden falls on the students too here, how we perform in our tenure.
I would rate it good. There is Nescafe, Dramatics club, music activity. Although the college doesn't offer much extra curricular, it is improving its support to students who take initiative.
SRM is one of the best colleges across the globe, kattankulathur campus is the best among them. The way of differentiating blocks based on courses are excellent as they have made separations based on the core and outfield courses.the way of maintaining the depths in each block is also good.the greenery made by the management is another masterpiece by the management as it plays its role perfectly.
The college gives everything a student requires, the campus has a three floored library which contains the best books in all categories.on teaching basis the level of facilities can be improved on experience on the way of handling students in classroom but on overall basis I would rate the teaching role on three on five
The placement in this college is good as the students get recruited on a bulk basis and the average every year is very good, the vary of packages varies from grade to grade.there are many companies who recruit students based on skills even if they don't have a good mark percentage
Personally I feel SRM is overpriced in their hostel and mess fee,but on academic basis this college is perfect for their academic fee as it gives perfect qualities a student should have for his learning
College life in this campus is great as it has the best things a college should have.the way they handle the execution of working out the cafeteria in this college is extraordinary.the student committee plays its role perfectly in the college as they frequently organize fest and also they help in placements as well.the college also conducts a nation wide fest called milan every year in the month of March,so they college life in this campus is amazing
Yes, my college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Classrooms, labs, library are great! There could be an increase of the sports facilities available as there are a lot of students and not everybody gets an equal chance. Hostels for girls are good but for boys, they are kind of bad. Places are clean and the food is mostly hygienic except the times that it ain't.
I'm studying computer science cauz I love this field and there's really nothing else I could do. Nothing ik of anyways. Colleges equals self-teaching except those few amazing teachers who are just the best, but they are rare. And no theory isn't gonna make anybody job ready, and the practicals we do, not really useful mostly. Do online courses is what I'll suggest. And skills are more important than marks really. Marks will get u placement opportunities but skills will get u placed.
I don't know much about placements but ik that somehow most people get placed. I just know that the students who got placed in good places, the credit of it mainly goes to them and not much to the college. College just provided with the platform of placement but it didn't really give those students skills they needed to ace those placements.
All colleges take a lot of money. But it's just a lot of money to get a degree cauz there's not really any knowledge being imparted. Like we try our best to know as much as we can but the high cgpa doesn't mean we actually know stuff. Even if we do know stuff, it's mainly stuff that won't be of use to us.
Campus is amazing. And so is the life. Freedom is basically nada but friends make it all better. Safety in campus is exactly how it is outside campus. Literally no difference.
All colleges are the same.
Yes, the college has adequate facilities and the hostels are good. The classrooms are well maintained and the WiFi has a really good speed and can manage to download at high speeds. The library is quite the spectacle and well maintained.
The teaching faculty are good, the lab sessions are good as well. Currently I, study in the ECE department. The curriculum is updated and the course is well distributed. The topics are relevant to the syllabus.
The placements over the years have been good, the average package is about 5 lpa. Companies like amazon and flip kart also hire from out college. The placement cell gives you training before the actual placement period begins.
The fees might be kind of steep, the amount you pay is pretty high. That amount of money deserves a little more in lab and classrooms. The money being payed my the students are put to good use, although it can be better spent on improving the labs and other facilities.
The campus has everything one would require from stores for buying everyday items, to restaurants and dry cleaners and even a hospital. Students can get free checkups in the historical. The campus contains anything you would require.

Hello aspirant
JEE Main accepts NIOS, so you can appear if you meet the basic eligibility.
BITS does not accept marks from two different boards, so this option won’t work for BITS.
VIT and SRM generally accept NIOS, but having two separate mark sheets can be an issue. You should
