The college is very good. You get all types of experience over here. You meet new people and also helps to know your India better. There are students from across the world. It is an amazing, well-maintained buildings.

      Academics

I really enjoyed studying my courses over the 4 years' time. Vast varieties of courses. All the things get updated on the academia and the portal that they give to us. Good quality of education. Like it.

      Placements

Placements are good but not up to the mark. The process considers by the placement cell is not understandable. You get many companies coming over here in time and the students with good marks are able to sit in the placement rounds.

      Value for Money

No, the cost is very very high and also it is not worth it.

      Campus Life

The campus life is good. People make their own things and have creative ideas.

      College Infrastructure

Hi speed WiFi campus wide and access point in every classroom. Clean, hygienic conditions. Well calibrated instruments and well maintained labs. Hostels are moderated, one can't expect luxury out of a college hostel, but yes if you are ready to shell out more money, you can get luxurious hostels too.

      Academics

The curriculum and the evaluation method is in sync with the current trends, teachers are a bit biased about the native students, and few teachers are unapproachable, though its rare, overall the teachers are in sync with latest developments in their fields.

      Placements

Placement opportunities offered here are one of the best in India. More then 300 companies come during placement, and it goes on throughout the year. There's intership fares too, where you can bag internships from a multitude of companies.

      Value for Money

For Btech CSE its 3.5 lakhs per year excluding hostel and mess fees. One can take an estimated 20-24 lakhs of total expenditure for 4 years, if you aren't a TN native

      Campus Life

Happening, zero ragging, strict behaviour control policies.

      Academics

Helpful, my course is cyber security specialization in computer software engineering and the quality is okay. curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments in the field but not in detail

      Placements

the quality of placements at your college is okay depends on your skill set more than 85 percentage of students were placed and the highest salary package wah around 49 lakhs but the college is supportive

      College Infrastructure

It's having a huge college infrastructure with best library having more than one lakh books . A great administrative building and for each courses and seperate building for eg management has a building .

      Academics

Average academics it's not like every one force you to study or what ... It's your wish whether to pass the subject . Facilities are ok not that good nor that bad but most are like this so the academics is average

      Placements

Average placement every year final year students will be able to get a chance in attending the placement which is being conducted by the placement cell of college . Many companies with a minimum number of 40-50 will come

      Value for Money

Average value for money my course's fee is eightyfive thousand per year (85k/year) and other expenses are comparatively lesser in my course . But it's bit more expensive than other colleges when it compared to srm

      Campus Life

Average campus life The campus has got variety no of programs like shuru aarush melam baazar milan etc the college itself has a hospital inside the campus so it can handle any kind of emergencies like accident etc

      SHOULD CONSIDER AS A OPTION

      College Infrastructure

SRM KTR has an amazing infrastructure. All the hostels are well maintained and safety is the topmost priority. Regular classes are conducted in UB (University building) which is fully air-conditioned. Students have a variety of options for accommodation in the hostel. Boys can't stay out of the hostel beyond 21:30 and for girls, it's 19:30. But in case of emergency, the hostel warden arranges an ambulance for the students for the hospital situated inside the campus itself which is open 24x7.

      Academics

For CSE and its specializations, SRM is very nice. That does not imply that for the rest it's trash, but the attention is more towards the CSE students and placements are in their favor. The lecturers are very liberal in terms of attendance, teaching, and evaluating answer scripts. The staffs and teachers are very friendly and cooperative. Course materials and extra materials are also provided for the benefit.

      Placements

The placement percentage of SRM is above 90% with a range of students. More than 500 companies come for recruitment. An average student scoring above 70% can sit in placements and get a decent package according to one's skills as required. Companies visit the campus more than once for multiple job roles.

      Value for Money

Students having a good SRMJEEE rank have a tuition fee of 2.5 lac per annum and hostel fee ranging from 1.5 to 2.5 according to the Choice. I feel it gives the good value of the money spent here only if the student is ready to extract some. The wise use of the resources and getting guidance from faculty results in good shaping of the student. The level of exposure and opportunities provided are very useful and on point.

      Campus Life

SRM has NO RAGGING campus. This is the best part of the college. Students are allowed to participate in cultural and technical fests conducted the whole year. It is filled with contests, hackathons, and more. We have a huge campus with facilities everywhere for students to explore around. The campus is well connected with local trains, cabs, local buses at cheap costs that go in favor of the students. There are shops for all necessities inside the campus and more outside too. Overall, it's SAFE!

      Others

DO CONSIDER SRM AS A GOOD OPTION. PEOPLE TEND TO DROP SRM EXCUSING ABOUT THE DISTANCE FROM THEIR HOMES AND CULTURAL DIFFERENCES. THERE ARE FLAWS, BUT THE EXPOSURE AND EXPERIENCE COMPENSATES.

infrastructure and Faculty are best but expensive

      Verified Review
      College Infrastructure

the college has a good infrastructure, first-year hostels are good and maintained. classes of 1st year are in main building complete ac. The popular hostel is Paari and Kaari block. You are not allowed to exit the hostel after 10 PM but in case of any medical emergency, you are allowed to go to the nearest (SRM hospital) which is open 24/7 for everyone.

      Academics

CSE is the best branch in SRMist. lecturers are very liberal not only in teaching and evaluating the answer scripts but also in maintaining the secrecy of exam question papers. I think CSE staff members are very polite. SRM University has a strength of at least 10,000 students in which there is approx 60-70 student in a section which is quite good and the faculty is very cooperative

      Placements

About 500 companies visit our campus for recruitment. Some companies visit here more than once for different job roles, but our college adds those companies names to the total count of the companies that visit here. If you have an academic percentage of 80% and above in your course, then they let you attend placements in 95% of companies. If you have a percentage of over 70%, then they make you attend placements in 70% of companies.

      Value for Money

SRM University provides about 60%-70% of its admissions for management quota. But it is value for money as it provides a platform to interact with industrial experts from 1st year and there is a good Asia largest techno fest conducted every year. Provides financial assistance for a startup or international studies.

      Campus Life

Huge campus the campus is very big and there are a lot of cool buildings to see, the infrastructure is top class. Every floor has canteen and adequate RO Drinking water outlets are available. There are elevator facilities in every building All classrooms have SMART learning tools, they have a projector and screen for interactive learning. NO RAGGING

      Others

There are two fests, one is Aarush (Techno fest) that happens in September this year was conducted online and the other is Milan (Cultural fest) which happens in March. Many celebrities come over here you will enjoy it a lot.

      College Infrastructure

the college has good facilities and ammenties, including proper labs and equipments. there our large, spacoius classrooms and a big library and good facilities. the living spaces and food avaliable is decent

      Academics

i am studying computer science and engineering as i have an interest in this field. the quality of teachers is nice here. the curriculum has been updated in the year 2018 and is therefore up to date, the study does makes us job ready in terms of techical aspects.

      Placements

the quality of placements are good here, at most times, 90 percent and above students get placed , with the higest package going to students from computer science branch, placement process is moderately easy

It's a awesome and wonderful campus with full facilities.

      College Infrastructure

The college is best in infrastructure, all the technical equipmen, all facilities etc. The class are digital, our college has a digital and big library, it is a wifi spread campus which is clean an hygienic.

      Academics

This college is ranked in 5th place in all over india in place of education, placements, etc . The education in this college is awesome and is fully updated with present technology. They give training in such a way that to get a job is easy for us .

      Placements

The placements of our college is 89% , the top companies like Google , Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, tata, tech Mahendra, wipro , etc are some of the companies in which we will or may get placements. The average salary may be starts from 23k or 20k

      Value for Money

Since it's a top college it is highly costed me , it costed nearly 3.5 lakhs per year and if urs is a payment seat then u need to pay a amount of 15 to 20 lakhs to buy a seat rather than that you can work hard and get a free seat in srm.

      Campus Life

This college is best in all the aspects including all the cultural activities . The teachers in our college are friendly and will give good guidelines if we follow them it's more than enough to get a good percentage in our academics. The campus is safe and is located in Chennai main city.

      Others

I think so this college is best an if you want to pursue btch and willing to study in Chennai then this is best college for it.

Not bad, I have my own lively and surreal experiences.

      College Infrastructure

Studying in the smallest branch of SRM university, the ambiance is delightful because of the centralized ACs. But being from an ECE background, the lack of equipment in the lab is a tad bit annoying. Pairing up is fun but when 4 to 5 people hoard up it's a bit of a hassle. The classrooms are just fine, only wished we had smart classrooms that could make learning fun. Food is hygienic but the choices are still limited in the mess.

      Academics

I am currently pursuing electronics and communication engineering. I have no idea why and how I landed here being an MBBS aspirant. The quality of teaching ain't that bad. Yes, the curriculum sure does get updated every 2 years. If I have to be honest one learns more from the internet, for the institutions just grant us bookish knowledge which is far behind an industrial knowledge,. We learn no application-based knowledge.

      Placements

So far everyone gets a job through the placements. It is what I heard of. Have no idea about the details for I am still in my third year. I can comment further once I happen to do my final year. For the time I am not eligible to write my opinion.

      Value for Money

1.75 lacs per year, pretty expensive for a middle-class kid. It depends on the individual to make the money worth it. In this competitive world, no one has time for anyone but themselves. If one can not self learn and feels the need to be spoon-fed, the journey towards finding interests in a particular field becomes slow-paced. Miracles do happen only to those who strive for change and development.

      Campus Life

My college has pretty much been about the people and the friend circles I happen to interact with. Among all the club activities I heard my true call in Model United Nations. Organizing MUNs was super hectic and surreal, a must to go with to spice up college life. The college is situated right beside a hospital, hence super safe for emergencies. Not to mention the placement of Forum mall behind the college, the most common getaway spot for the entire lot in college.

      Others

To me, college life is all about the people you happen to interact with. Make connections, try to socialize regardless of being an introvert, and do all sorts of things you have never done as a kid at school. Doesn't really matter which college you head to, hence I would not mind recommending this college. Regardless of its flaws, the college is still lively at times. Make the best of anything you have in hand; any college will seem pleasing from this introspect.

      College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is awesome. We have top class labs and gyms with high-quality equipment. Our sporting equipment too is up-to-date providing us with extensive amenities. Classrooms are well-equipped with the necessary things.

      Academics

Academics could be better. Our professors are good but not great. The syllabus sometimes feels like it is not updated regularly. We do get great practical experiences in labs which helps us refine the concepts we learn in our classes.

      Placements

Placements are usually good, especially for the computer science department. Even non-CSE departments usually sit for software placements and bag good jobs. Overall, placements are good in software sector but not so good for core jobs In other sectors.
