Yes our college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. We have a great lecture halls which are fully air conditioned. Our sports centres are fully equipped and we have almost every game in our campus
Curriculum is updated time to time. We have assignments related to all the topics which are in our syllabus and they are regularly discussed by our teachers. Our teachers are very much helpful and one can easily approach them in case of any queries
Quality of placements are best for the computer courses which is a general trend nowadays.the highest package is fourty three lakhs. Proper sessions are also conducted by the authorities to polish the skill of the students
Yes, it's good all the facilitiea availed properly to students. May be due to high fees infrastructure it's possible for them to accommodate large facilities. But all in the end its good to be stated.
I m studying be coe and think it's gr8 to study it and can relate to the good teaching provided as well. Though some teachers might not be brilliant as they should be but it's fine that teaching is not bad.
As far as I have heard it have good placement packages but I haven't went through the procedure so can't say much about it and also I don't know about it much too.. So that's what I have to say about it.
if we talk in terms of infrastructure...very rare universities have infrastructure like this college. hostels are well equipped and rooms are quite spacious in every hostel. All in all a great place to be in.
academics are pretty decent but can be improved a lot if teachers care more about the overall learning and not in thinking about ways how to give maximum assignments to students....practical knowledge should be focused more
well...if we talk about placements. they are also really good here. top companies from across the country visit here.......for mechanical companies like tata and hero...for computers companies like microsoft also find its way in
College has all the facilities and equipment,it can give as a private institution, and infrastructure is just world class betten than many of IIT's and NIT,s , classroom is equipped with advanced projectors, wifi, class recording fuction. Library is best amongst all the institution nationwide. Many joints for eating & drinking, you will get all the tastes ou want punjabi, southindian or northindian
Academics can't be compare to IIT's but it is giving best it can give as private institution, teachers are very sincere, determined & hardworking, always motivating and aspiring for new researches. One who wants to get good knowledge of subject can absolutely loved their teaching methods
Don't know exactly about placements, but average package is of 8L and one who aspires for more can bag easily more than 20L package with highest maybe 44L package, although thapar is also good for researches, as many iitians came here for research purposes
Course cost per year is almost 2*2=4lakh per year with including hostel & mess fees, maybe it can be more by improving one's hostel life. But i can say it definately worth every pennie as their facilities, academics, & infrastructure
Campus life is best part of this college, you will get many places to go with your friends or girlfriend, One can engage himself in many activities he like to enjoy as football in football ground, racing track, cricket ground, auditorium, open air theatre, etc. staffs of campus are also good, not professional but do their job nicely. There's also 24hr ambulance and health center for all small diseases
This college gives definetely best college life it can give to a 18 year old student. I feels lucky to get enrolled in such a prestigious institution
Thapar campus spreads across an area of 250+ acres consisting of academic buildings, sports centre, hostels, shopping areas etc. It consists of all the latest study material in classrooms and are used regularly. Free Wifi is also available in classrooms as well as in your hostels. Thapar also covers a large green space area.
I am currently in the first year of Computer Engineering and till now I can say that the quality of teaching is very good in our college. We have well qualified teachers who are available anytime to help us in our studies.
Don't worry about the placements if you are in this college as said by my seniors. A lot of companies visit the college every year and some also perform mass recruitment. Well known companies listed like Google, Microsoft, Paytm, etc. have visited the college.
It costs around 2 lakhs per semester depending on your stream and including the cost of hostels and mess.
There are a lot of societies in the college which you can join to increase your skills.
Being a private institute, Thapar's infrastructure is one of the best among the colleges in the country. Its infrastructure level is comparable to that of IITs. Labs and classrooms are equipped with latest technologies. Hostels are also good and comfortable.
Teachers are good, caring and helpful. The administration is strict about studies. But the syllabus is not kept up to the date. The workload is also too much. Attendance is not much taken care of. The academics is a way to earn money for the college and the administration.
The placement packages are good. The Institute calls high valued companies by offering them money. This is the main problem. Also, the placement ratio is also low. The placement package goes as high as 30 lakh.
The fee is too high. The fee for one year of B.E. is approximately 4 lakh which is very high as compared to other engineering institutes in the country.
The campus life is good. A lot of extracurricular activities are organized in the campus every day. Some of these activities are also compulsory to participate.
The Institute is good but the atmosphere is not academic friendly. Also, the fee is too high.
Yes the college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. Though there is some issue with the speed of the WIFI, but rest everyhting is good. Food is also hygienic. Cleanliness is maintained up to the mark.
I am pursuing Electronics and Computer Engineering. Though the faculty is nice but the use of electronic media is less which should be greater by now. The syllabus also needs to be looked into as per the branches so that useful subjects are delivered with more dedication.
The quality of the placements is very good. Almost 100% students are placed as per the records shared with us. The highest package offered last year was approximately Rs. 41 Lacs from two branches, ie, Computer Science branch, and Electronics and Computer branch.
The cost per year for my course approximates to around Rs. 4 Lacs. Thoguh it is too much considering the quality of studies and the pain the teachers take in teaching, though exceptions are always there. But if one gets a good placement then this cost is still bearable.
The location of the campus is very good with the hostels within. The sports facilities are also very up to date. The location is also very safe considering everything. The teachers and support staff are always ready to help whenever required.
Overall the college is very nice. Like every coin has two sides, so does the experience with a college will have. For doing engineering, it can be a good opportunity to complete it from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology.
One of the best points about this college is its infrastructure. The teaching complex are quite well equipped with all the required facilities. Spacious airy lecture halls, auditoriums, and a hella big library. First time, it took me a whole hour just to take a single round of the library. Some of the hostels are quite old, especially boys hostel B and C. But they keep them maintained. Some new hostels are under construction too.
Right now I'm a student of Electronics and Computer Engineering; almost completed my first year. Academic facilities here are quite good. Though honestly my first year profs were not as good. Some are really good and passionate about their work. Others just read the slides and go. Though most of them are quite supportive to students. Even if sometimes they don't teach well, they'd make sure to do all what they can to help you understand.
As a first year student, I don't have much exposure to the placement related information. But as to what I've heard from seniors, alumni; and according to what I read from college handouts, placements here are quite good, much better than many colleges. The best branches placement wise are Computer Science and Computer Engineering (yes they are different things here fyi), followed by electronics and computer and Electronics and communication. Other than these, placements in mechanical are okay.
The one thing that may be considered as a negative point about this college are its expenses. The fee compared to other colleges is very high. Combining the additional expenses of hostel and mess fee, it sums up to a big amount of near 20 Lakhs. Is it worth it? DEPENDS ON YOU. There'd be many opportunities; but if you miss them, you'd probably be left with all negative thoughts about the college, and you'd probably be grumbling about the money you spent.
Campus Life is wonderful here. The campus is really big and lush green. Places like COS complex, open air theater are popular hangout spots for students. There are many lawns and parks everywhere to roam in. The atmosphere is really good. Environment is also clean. The biggest support here are the seniors. I joined a few societies and through that I got in touch with some seniors and they are really helpful many times. There's a dispensary and ambulance facility too in case of emergencies.
Overall, it's a very good college with a lot of opportunities for you as a student. You just need to be ready to grab them in time, so you won't have to regret later.
The college has great infrastructure than any other colleges in any India. It has well equipped labs for all different subjects. The lectures take place through digital media which are well maintained. The newly built hostels are very good with state of the art facilities.
The curriculum is updated and includes both practical and theoretical knowledge. There are a certain subjects which focus on personality development makes you ready for the corporate world. We also have a few online exams and most of the administration work of college takes place online. Students also have access to online lectures and quizzes provided by college.
The college has very good placement record over the years. Students who work hard moderately get a good placement. Some students get a very good package while others settle on decent ones. There are many MNC's like Microsoft, google, amazon, delloite vista campus every year and provide the dream package to students.
Infrastructure is great.New buildings have come up recently and it looks like an altogether different University. The new library is great. The integration of technology into the old library culture has taken the whole process to the next level.
Some faculties are great some are ok.Mostly it depends on the students effort. The course scheme is at par with all the top colleges. The teaching techniques are also good. For my branch i feel everything is almost ok.
The placements are good. Most of the students with good academic and CV get placed just fine.Although i have heard that some companies don't come.Off campus placement is always there though. The placement cell is very helpful and make you well aware and preapes you for it.
It is an expensive affair.
Campus life is great.Events keep taking place all year round.
Its fees is high but everything else is good.
A rank above 50,000 is considered good in JEE Mains. Some of the private colleges accepting JEE Mains are
