JEE Mains 2026 final answer key released for TIET Patiala B.Tech admissions.
The infrastructure is good with many new buildings under construction. A great football field and running tracks. A new computer science block with top level architecture. Several new hostels with wifi in all buildings.
The electronics department has a good and experienced faculty. The courses are well defined and you will also get many oppertunities to work on projects with seniors and faculty members. All cources have websites to provide all relevant information.
The placement in the recent years have been good. Especially compared to other private colleges. Many offers for internship in 3rd and 2nd year aswell. The average for COE is highest like any other engineering college.
Approx 3.5 lac per semester including mess and hostel fee. Bit expensive but totally worth it if you work hard.
Great campus life with many hangout spots and eating joints.
It has all the necessary infrastructures, all classrooms have air conditioners and have good infrastructure.almost all the classrooms have smart boards and projectors. Every building has the wifi, which works 24 into 7
Studying B.E in electronics and communication, because i had interest in electronics. Teaching quality is average.some old faculties are very good, having lot of experience in the teaching field. The curriculum is updated time to time and is affiliated to trinity.
Quality of placement is good . It depends in which branch are you in. Placements in Computer engineering are very good in comparison to the other branches. The highest package was about 41-42 lakhs. The percentage of students varies for the different branches but almost 50-60% students get placements.
The cost per is about 4 lakhs. Every year the tuition fees gets increasing,so the total cost keeps on varying. I feel the money is worth cause the infrastructure is very good , the campus is very neat and clean. The sports facilities in college are really good but speaking overall the fees is too much.
Campus life is very good if you talk of boys . There is no limitations on the timings whereas the girls have enter their respective hostel before 9:30. The campus is huge and is really beautiful. Location of the campus is good ,everything is very near by. The cafes and lounge are also not so far.
When i entered the college, there was a friendly vibe. The hostels are very good with lot of great facilities.there are lot of opportunities to improve your personality as their are lot of societies which encourage s you to take a big steps in the life
Great infrastructure in terms of hostels and lecture theaters. But lacking in sports like basketball courts and volleyball courts. Football ground and running tracks are great. Decent badminton court and swimming pool.
Various opportunities for projects. Relative CGPA is really a challenging job but eventually you adapt. Strict 75% attendance criteria. Sessionals are the key for scoring great in this institute. Good choices for electives.
This institute is really appreciated for the placements part. Placement cell works really hard for getting big companies to the campus. Although placements for mechanical and civil are an issue for the past few years.
I go with 3 starts because the fee is rising very rapidly. Although the infrastructure is improving but that isn't enough to justify the fee hike. So if you work hard and dedicatedly then you can get your money's worth
Campus life is great here. There are open air theaters, markets, food joints and various hangout spots. There are many fests and competition to look forward to every month. Safety wise the campus is completely safe and you can stay out as long as you want without worrying.
Having a great time so fast with lots of learning opportunities
The infrastructure is quite good compared to other colleges in Patiala with this good reputation. The new computer science block is amazing with great interiors and facilities. The hostels are good too except for some old hostels. The hostel mess are decent.
The course is good especially for Computers, electronics and mechanical engineering. The facility ranges from decent to great. You get various opportunities to work on projects also with the faculty. The mechanics faculty is highly experienced.
For a private university in engineering it's placements are rather great with only BITs being better. The average package of computer students is highest with decent number of core competencies coming for other branches too.
The fees is increasing very quickly. The main reason for this is the constant construction work going on inside the campus. With new academic blocks and new hostels. I will cost you around 4 lakhs per semester including college, hostel and Mess fee.
The campus life is great. You have alot for fests and completions. There are many good Hangouts throughout the campus, a decent market that provides all general products and some some decent food joints.
My experience for the past 1.5 years has been great. The campus has a great environment to learn and make good memories at the same time. Just work hard during the exams periods and make sure you do well in practical labs
Being a 60 year old institution with recent growth in fee and investment in infrastructure the campus has a combination of old and new buildings. The new block in really a thing of beauty, with state of the art technology and fine architecture. All classes are equipped with smart boards. WiFi is accessible in all the buildings.
Like any other college it has a mixture of good and bad faculty. Although if you are committed enough then you have more than enough opportunities to excel and achieve great things. You'll get many chances to work on various projects.
The placements in the recent years have been good. A growth has been seen especially in non tech section. The placements for Computers and Electronics are best since they get relatively higher packages.
The academic fees is 2.5L per semester with atleast 50k for hostel and Mess fee. That's alot but won't be a waste of you work hard. The hostels are mostly good and well maintained. Some of the old hostels are in bad condition but will be replaced soon with 2 new hostels under construction
There are not much restrictions especially for boys. Girls have a hostel entry time for maximum 9:30 PM. They can get permission for library till 12. The campus has a decent market area and many hangout places. Boys can hangout as late as they want. The campus is completely safe based on my experience. There are many fest and competitions that occur on monthly basis so you always have something to look forward to.
Overall my experience has been great. I honestly loved my past 3 semesters and 4th shouldn't be much different. There are many societies so you'll surely find one that you would be interested in. The academics is good overall with decent placement records.
It is one of the biggest private engineering colleges of India with exceptional of art facilities. There has never been an issue regarding the amenities or provisions being provided to the students. You get everything you need inside the campus only, no need to go out and toil. The living spaces are clean and food is good.
I am studying in B. Tech Biotechnology and currently in my last semester. Quality of teaching is good but at end day it depends on the perception of the students. Much of the curriculum although has been updated, but some of the courses still stand still. Biotechnology branch specially is still adamant on following the concept of traditional learning.
Placements are outstanding for the computer science and other mainstream branches. But when it comes to the branches like biotechnology and chemical, things can get a little tacky. These branches are more focused on students getting into higher education rather than getting placements in the non core sector.
You need to be financially stable to be able to study here without any problems, not gonna lie!
The best part. In Thapar, you live the best years of your life, it's a never ending fun filled experience.
One of the best experiences of my life!!
A rank above 50,000 is considered good in JEE Mains. Some of the private colleges accepting JEE Mains are

With a Class 12 board score of 86% in 2024, your son meets the board-based eligibility for B.Tech CSE at Thapar University—but there’s one important detail. Thapar conducts admissions via two modes: one uses JEE Main scores (50% seats) and the other uses Class 12 PCM marks (50% seats). However,
