Hello Aspirant,
The eligibility criteria for B.Tech civil engineering at NIT, Nagpur is
JEE main - last rank - 27159(general)
For merit based entry you need 50% marks aggregate in science stream for general category and 40% marks aggregate for SC/ST/OBC/PH Categories from a recognized board of education. However you need to be among the top 20% to be admitted for the course. You can find more details on the link below. Hope this helps and Good luck
VJTI Mumbai has excellent faculty, research & training facilities and strong placements as far as Circuital Branches are concerned. Incase youre interested in CSE, EC/EE and Other Circuital Branches, you may prefer VJTI over VNIT Nagpur.
Whereas, incase interested in Core Engineering Branches, prefer VNIT Nagpur over VJTI Mumbai. Most of the Core Companies pan India recruit from NITs having a strong employer outlook and neglect excellent State Engineering Colleges like VJTI or COEP. By Core Branches, I mean Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical or Civil Engineering.
You may use Careers360's College Comparison Tool to further compare VNIT and VJTI. Do follow the link below
The main difference between COEP and VNIT is that, VNIT enjoys the Status of a National Institute having a much better crowd and competitive culture besides having a strong employer outlook. You cant really compare COEP and VNIT on Placements, Faculty or Infrastructure. But as far as Research potential & prospects and Training Facilities or Collaborations with Top Institutes like IITB is concerned, VNIT Nagpur is much ahead than COEP. Especially if youre considering Core Engineering Courses like Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, Chemical, VNIT Nagpur must be your preferred choice.
For more information and College Comparison do follow the link below
Both the NIT are more or less at par with each other. Choose the one which is at your Vicinity. Both MNNIT and VNIT have great infrastructure, faculty, research and placement prospects besides providing effective engineering education.

Most of the IITs have relaxed their criteria for M.Tech Admissions. Having a B.Tech in ECE from VNIT, try securing a Good Rank in GATE CSE, preferably within Top 200, and you maybe assured of a seat in some of the Top 6-8 IITs in CSE.

Hello,
The seat allotment is based on the category of the candidate, cut off rank, number of seats vacant, preferred institute etc. The cut off rank changes every year depending on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. The cut off rank is different for each category. As you have not mentioned your category we assume that you belong to general category and by the information available in your profile we assume that you belong to Maharashtra. The cut off in 2020 JoSAA round for admission in to Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur in B.Arch for general category (home state) was 926. Considering this you need to score minimum 98.5 or above percentile in JEE Main paper 2. Cut off is subjected to change it may increase or decrease depending on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. Here is the cut off category wise

Hello.
