Hi.
Since you have already made post degree plans i.e. pursuing UPSC, comparing colleges just on the placement basis will not be feasible. If you wish to know which college has a better campus life, facilities and overall extra-curricular atmosphere then you should check out peer reviews given at COEP PUNE Page and VNIT NAGPUR Page.
If you have a further specific query, please feel free to comment.
Good Luck

Hello!
VNIT have good overall ratings. They have good placement records but a bit inconsistent, average placement record is 60%. Top recruiting companies are Lupin, Godrej, Reliance, etc. Highest package offered is 22Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is around 3Lakhs per annum and average package offered is around 5-6Lakhs per annum. They have good infrastructure and they provide students with good, qualified teaching faculties.
ICT have excellent overall ratings much better than VNIT. They have good and consistent placement records, average placement record is 99%. Top recruiting companies are Honeywell, Godrej, Reliance, etc. Highest package offered is 18Lakhs per annum, lowest package offered is around 3.5Lakhs per annum and average package offered is around 6-7Lakhs per annum. They have good infrastructure and they provide students with helpful, highly qualified teaching faculties.
ICT is the best option among the two.
ALL THE BEST. Hope the answer was of some help.
Thank You
Hello,
in 2020 round 6 a candidate belonging to OBC-NCL under home state quota with rank 10663 secured seat in Chemical Engineering in VNIT, Nagpur. Considering the cut off you need to score minimum 110-130 marks to have decent chances of getting seat in this NIT. It should be noted that cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates qualified, difficulty of exam and number of seats available etc. The cut off may increase or decrease depending on the above mentioned factors.
Hi Athrav
It is very difficult to predict the marks that you need in JEE mains 2021 to get it a seat in VNIT for your computer science engineering as the marks required to get a seat keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination for different shift of JEE Mains etc.
But yes,
when we go through previous data then
In jee mains 2019 ,
An obc category male student under home state required a rank of 2438 to get Computer Science Engineering in VNIT
You can check the same at
https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-vnit-nagpur
And as per previous year data, to get a rank of 2438 , one needs around 235 marks out of 300 marks in JEE Mains.
So, to be on the safer side I will advise you to target to 250 marks in your jee mains.
To prepare well you can go for our jee program at the convenience of your home, the link for the same is provided below

Hope this helps
Hello,
VNIT (Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology), Nagpur is one of the NITs in our country. It is a public engineering and research institution in Maharashtra, established in 1960. VNIT is a government college and in all the government colleges admissions are done based on counselling procedure. There are no management quota in any govt. colleges.
So, as per your question, there is no management quota in VNIT, Nagpur.
You will get management quota only in private colleges.
Good luck!
Hello,
Admission into IIIT Pune, IIIT Nagpur and VNIT Nagpur does not accept MHT CET score. The admission into these Institutes is based on marks scored in JEE Main entrance examination. So if you want to get admission in these Institutes then you need to appear for JEE main and qualify in it.

VNIT Nagpur infrastructure good for PhD in Computer Engineering. Department has own building with labs full of computers, servers for AI and simulations. Library huge, access to journals and online stuff, WiFi covers most areas. Hostels okay but old, mess food simple. Campus 215 acres green, sports ground helps relax. Some buildings need AC fix, hot in Nagpur. Fine for research work.
