Dear Student,
50% of the places in each NIT are reserved for students from the home state, and the remaining 50% are open to students from around India.
Your home state for the purposes of the admissions procedure is the location (State) where you complete your class 12 education. One must have completed class 12 in Maharashtra in order to enrol in the Maharashtra State.
Therefore, 50% of the available seats at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur, are open to Maharashtra candidates with strong JEE Mains (formerly AIEEE) rankings.

Hope this helps.
Firstly congratulations, you have got a pretty decent rank. Now coming to the point, in your situation I would say you should either go with BIT Mesra CSE or DTU ECE, see IIIT Gwalior is at par with BIT Mesra I would say, but as you are comparing 5 year IT vs regular CSE at BIT Mesra, I would suggest going for BIT
Now for BIT vs DTU it completely depends on your personal choice, weather you want a better branch or better college, DTU is certainly better than BIT and objectively speaking CSE is in general considered better than ECE. So it all boils down what you want to sacrifice... Although I would say you won't regret in both the cases as both are indeed very good colleges.
For exploring other options at your rank you can use the following college predictor

Hello Aditya !
Hope you are doing good ! Aditya, everyone will put their own opinion in format of you but you should be alert in this case . In my suggestion , IIIT Delhi is one of the best institutes to pursue B. Tech in CSE as it has great faculty members and the placement stats for CSE are far better than any institute. During the 2022 placement drive, CSE average salary stood at INR 24.34 LPA.. i will suggest you to go with iiit delhi rather than nit nagpur and all. One more thing is that skills matter more than the college . You should be hardworking ,no matter in which college you will go
Hope it helps you !
Thanks for asking query here!
Hello Aspirant,
See it is quite difficult to predict your exact figure of rank because it keeps on changing every year depending upon various factors but yes we can help you with approximate figures on the basis of analysis of previous year's data.
So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your SC rank is expected to be in the range of 20000-25000 .
As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that you have NO chances to get NIT Nagpur with any of the branches even under SC quota because last year closing SC rank was around 7400 for Mining branch.
You can check out the latest cut-offs from the link given below :-
https://josaa.admissions.nic.in/Counseling/seatallotmentresult/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your JEE-Main score or rank you can use JEE-Main College Predictor:-

So If we go through the analysis of marks Vs Percentile Vs rank for JEE-Main 2021 then according to the percentile mentioned by you in the question your ST rank is expected to be in the range of 1500-2500 .
As we go through the latest cut-offs of JEE-Main 2021 of JOSAA 6th round then it shows that you have very less chances of getting ECE branch in VNIT Nagpur because last year the closing ST rank for ECE was around 800 under Home state quota.

I'll not use any sugarcoat for you but it's little bit difficult to get nit nagpur in CSE. your expected rank is may be 62000
but with rank you may get other iiits and nits like nit Durgapur, nit patna etc
for more information i am providing you a kink of college predictor, predict your college according to your percentile and category.

hope this is helpful for you
best of luck
Hello,
It's really tough to predict on the basis of reserved category because it depends on various conditions like number of sc category students appearing for the examination, quality of the students , difficulty level of the examination.
So, as far as your percentile is concerned your rank would not be less than 2-2.2L so in this rank vnit nagpur would be a tough to grab because it usually closes by 1.8L for its lowest branch.
