Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Hey there!
Well it is not possible to tell whether you will get a seat corresponding to any percentile because the admission is totally based on rank of student and closing rank for a particular branch of the college.
and these stuffs are depends on various factors like:
1- Difficulty level of exam
2- Number of seat available in institutes
3- Category of student
4- Relative marking
and many more, but we can get a rough idea of closing rank of colleges an all by analyzing previous year trends and data related to the admission.
With 80 percentile in JEE Mains, your All India rank would be anywhere in between 204600 - 230000 and your OBC category rank would be in between 50000 to 60000 as per JEE Mains rank predictor tool
https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
According to previous year trends of maximum closing rank at VNIT, Nagpur for OBC category students is around 15000 to 20000.
Hence you have a bit low chance for getting admission in VNIT, you can also check some previous year closing rank of various branches in VNIT by clicking here https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-vnit-nagpur

Hey there!
Well it is not possible to tell whether you will get admission in VNIT Nagpur or not, as the admission of students for any particular branch is totally based on closing rank, which is decided by college itself.
The closing rank is decided by considering some unavoidable factors like:
1- Difficulty level of Examination
2- Number of students appeared for exam
3- Number of seat available at Institute
4- Category of an Individual etc.
However we can get a rough idea of seat allocation according to closing rank by analyzing previous years trends of rank for a particular branch.
Hence according to previous year data the closing rank for Computer science and Engineering in VNIT Nagpur for ST category is around 960 to 1000 .
And with your JEE Mains percentile which is 89, your ST category rank would be anywhere in between 1000 to 1200 , however this is not exact rank as the marks vs percentile vs rank changes year to year.
So, considering home state and previous year trend, you may have some chances for getting a seat in VNIT Nagpur for CSE course.

Hi candidate,
This answer can be biased to both. No doubt both the institutions are very good in every terms but the main thing is the interet of a candidate in the subject they are getting in these institutions respectively.
See, CSE and Engineering physics are two different domain in every terms . Very little similarities are there so an individual should look for what they can do now.
It completely depends upon you and your interest in both the fields. If you are interested in tech and it sector then surely go for NIT NAGPUR other wise go with IIT Bombay. An iit tag itself is enough to make life better but the interest is more important.
The choice is yours and make a wise one.
Hope this information helps. Thank you!!!

Good Luck!!
First of all why are you going to lower nits like that of the north east you should try your luck in mnnit mnit or nits of the south but coming to your question definitely nit jaipur nagpur are far better than nits of northeast you should not go there just for cse branch because in top nits even with non cs branches you can get decent packages if you do hardwork and there the coding culture is also very good and above all you can always apply for off campus placements but yes you should not miss top nits like mnnit that have top placements like mnnit has best average package among all nits so just for cs branch you should not compromise with a top institute you can predict your college using this link https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer
No matter how much percentile you have secured in mhtcet you cannot get admission in vnit nagpur as vnit is an institute of national importance and is under the central government of india it does not accept mhtcet score and admission to this college at btech level can only be made by josaa counselling for which you will have to give jee main and secure a descent rank and then depending upon your rank and preferences you will be allotted a branch in vnit nagpur if you get one.
If you go by nirf ranking then you find that vnit is the highest ranked institute of the three with a rank of 30 while manit and svnit and lower ranked than it all three of them are institutes of national importance but yes talking about ece branch vnit nagpur may have an edge as it near to the it hub and big cities like bombay so companies do not face any problem in recruiting from here talking about stats then at manit the highest package was 44 lakhs ad for vnit it was 38 lakhs for svnit it was 40 lakhs so according to placements stats manit is a good say as well regarding coding competition and other factors the best choice is manit ece there by vnit and then svnit so choose wisely also don't go on nirf ranking as they do not tell the real story of the college.
Infrastructure is good with a vast area of builidings.College has different department for each branch. It has foreign based equiments from england.Faculty is well qualified and deginfied about thieir qualification.
Our college infrastructure is pretty good. The wifi's in classroom complex, libraries work just fine. Hostel has LAN ports for LAN connection for laptops and mobiles, which works just fine. Cleanliness is maintained
Our college has good infrastructure We have smartboards in every classroom Wifi is also provided in the classroom conplex, wifi.In hostels we have lan ports. Cleanliness is maintained quite well in all parts of the college.
