hi!
Placement for Mining in VNIT has had good record till 2017 passout batch. Coal India being major recruiter with good package.
But this year (2018 passout batch) none of the core companies visited except Vedanta (private mining company)which recruited only 2 students.(LnT did visit but did not give results for mining ). Approx package for both of them being around 5 lakh pa. Also from 2018, PSUs such as SAIL, NTPC ,NLC are recruiting through GATE.(Though their vacancies are few).
So getting a core job is totally uncertain and unreliable. (Even in IITs, the ratio this year was too less ).
Although there are other noncore companies (IT, Management, Trading ,etc) and you can secure a job there if you have required skills and experience in form of some internships. This being open for many branches , you will have to prove your excellence amongst them.
Hey abhi,
The average package reaches upto 6,00,000 per annum. And
Number of participating companies 112
Number of first time recruiters 20
Number of offers 400 As
Avg salary 7 LPA
Highest salary 22 LPA
Lowest salary 3.3 LPA
Hope that helps
All the best
Dear Aspirant ! If you have been allotted a seat in JOSSA Counselling then you must go and report at the reporting centre. It is not asked to report at the allotted institute. First you need to visit the nearest reporting centre, do the document verification and pay the seat acceptance fee.
Hello Harshit
As per your query.you want to know that which college is better mechanical in nit patna is better than metallurgy in nit nagpur.there are many compnies come for placement in nit patna for mechanical branch .or mechanical branch has more scope than metalluragy branch.
thanku
Hy there aspirant,
Both have there own perks and as when you in NIT ther have in perks and at last it comes to end on the field of your interest. Wishing you luck
I consider first way good for JEEADVANCED (due to sectional cutoffs) and second way good for Jee mains(no sectional cutoffs, total marks matters).
In second way,if you score, say in chemistry about 100/120,then your task simplies to getting 75 each in maths+physics or in general 150/240 from maths+physics.
But keep one thing in mind while following second way,at least maintain regularity in studies. Even for 1 hour in a day (on days that you are not interested to study), revise what you have studied till date. It will not utilize your brain much and best part is that it will help in continuous revision.
Now apart from these planning things, I would suggest you to follow 1 book each for every subject. People generally do mistake here and end up nowhere. DO NOT READ 90 BOOKS FOR 1 TOPIC . ITS BETTER TO COMPLETE 90% FROM 1 BOOK. Every book is good but I would recommend you some:
Physics:-
1: HC VERMA(numericals)
2: NCERT(THEORY)
chemistry:- ONE AND ONLY "NCERT".
maths:- Tata McGraw hill
If you complete even 80-90% of each of the above mentioned in coming two years you will get 250+ and you will land in top 3 NITs for sure.
VNIT Nagpur infrastructure good for PhD in Computer Engineering. Department has own building with labs full of computers, servers for AI and simulations. Library huge, access to journals and online stuff, WiFi covers most areas. Hostels okay but old, mess food simple. Campus 215 acres green, sports ground helps relax. Some buildings need AC fix, hot in Nagpur. Fine for research work.
VNIT Nagpur has good infrastructure for MTech Computer Engineering. Labs got new computers, library big with journals, WiFi okay. Hostels decent, mess food average. Classrooms need AC, hot in summer. Sports ground nice, campus green. Supports studies well.
VNIT campus is biiiiig, 215 acres with lots of greenery. Chemical labs have advanced reactors for research, library bhi huge with journals and fast wifi. Old buildings need repairs, no AC, summers hot. Hostels clean with gym, but maintenance slow. Good for research.
