Hello Harshit
As per your query.you want to know that which college is better mechanical in nit patna is better than metallurgy in nit nagpur.there are many compnies come for placement in nit patna for mechanical branch .or mechanical branch has more scope than metalluragy branch.
thanku
Hy there aspirant,
Both have there own perks and as when you in NIT ther have in perks and at last it comes to end on the field of your interest. Wishing you luck
I consider first way good for JEEADVANCED (due to sectional cutoffs) and second way good for Jee mains(no sectional cutoffs, total marks matters).
In second way,if you score, say in chemistry about 100/120,then your task simplies to getting 75 each in maths+physics or in general 150/240 from maths+physics.
But keep one thing in mind while following second way,at least maintain regularity in studies. Even for 1 hour in a day (on days that you are not interested to study), revise what you have studied till date. It will not utilize your brain much and best part is that it will help in continuous revision.
Now apart from these planning things, I would suggest you to follow 1 book each for every subject. People generally do mistake here and end up nowhere. DO NOT READ 90 BOOKS FOR 1 TOPIC . ITS BETTER TO COMPLETE 90% FROM 1 BOOK. Every book is good but I would recommend you some:
Physics:-
1: HC VERMA(numericals)
2: NCERT(THEORY)
chemistry:- ONE AND ONLY "NCERT".
maths:- Tata McGraw hill
If you complete even 80-90% of each of the above mentioned in coming two years you will get 250+ and you will land in top 3 NITs for sure.
As uptil last year there was no concept of percentile due to which it is not possible to tell how much percentile is required for a PwD student to get in NIT Nagpur. However, you can use your rank to get information about your chances of getting a seat using the careers 360 college predictor. Hope this helps.
Hey
Mechanical engineering is one of the traditional and broadest disciplines in engineering field. It involves the design, examination and manufacturing of various types of mechanical systems using the principles of physics and material sciences.
Metallurgy is a specialized field of physical sciences, which involves the study of physical and chemical features of metallic elements, their compositions and inter metallic compounds.
Talking about NIT Nagpur, placements for metallurgical students are decent whereasThe placements are good for the mechanical engineering department. About 95% of the students from this branch got placed. The highest package offered was 17.3 LPA, the average package offered was 6.57 LPA, and the minimum package offered was 3 LPA.
Placement at NIT Patna for mechanical branch last year, where 65% to 70% of the students got placed from our college. Almost 90% of students get placed every year, especially from the computer science branch. This year, the highest salary package offered was 10.50 LPA for the students of ME. The average salary package offered was 7.50 LPA. But some of the CSE students got really high salary packages last year and this year also.
The above given details are based on the review given by the passed out students from the respective colleges.
Overall you must decide which branch is suitable for you, if you worked hard for 4 years no matter which branch you belong to you will get achievement in future.
Hope this helps,
Good luck!
Hii Sakshi,
Coming to your answer see if you are not the branch specific and you want a good nit tag then I would personally recommend you to go for the nit Trichy production branch . As nit Trichy is one of the topmost college among the nit and it is ranked no 1 and getting a production also in it is not easy.
While if you are branch specific then o would like to recommend you to go for vnit Nagpur for the chemical engineering in it than at last the metallurgy in the nit surathkal, but in my opinion you should go for the nit Trichy as it is a very good college and has top rank among all nit ,then for vnit Nagpur and then for the nit surathkal.
Hope this helps you , feel free to ask if you had any doubt regarding this,
Good luck
