Amity University | M.Tech Admissions 2025
ApplyRanked amongst top 3% universities globally (QS Rankings).
Dear candidate out of IIEST Shibpur and VNIT Nagpur, first let us focus on VNIT, overall it is a very good college with good placements but here Mechanical Engineering branch is better taught than EEE. You would receive guidance from the Faculties but in IIEST not only Electronics and Communication Engineering curriculum but many other additional support is provided by the faculties. Average Placement package offered is around 7-8 LPA, can rise upto 22 LPA. Along with that the college maintains sophisticated infrastructure and well equipped labs too.

Good luck!!
Hello,
You haven't mentioned your state, last year the cut off was as follows for general category to get admission in to Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar in Bio Technology
This was the previous year cut off (CRL) in CSAB round 2 counselling. Considering the previous year cut off you have chances to get seat in Biotechnology in NIT, Jalandhar if you belong to Punjab. If you belong to any state other than Punjab then you don't have chances to get admission in the preferred institute in Bio Technology
The cut off changes every year depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.
To check the previous year cut off click on the link given below

Hello aspirant,
I hope you are doing well and good. In terms of placement Civil is good form NIT Nagpur because we have good environment for study of students and faculty and students help each other. Or you can change your branch here also after one 1st year but your result should be >80% or 90%.
In hope of branch change you can go for VNIT i hope there should be a option for branch change.
Or if you want to do higher study you can go for NIT R because metallurgy has its own value.
So choices yours.
In the last i would say that if nothing works go for NIT Silchar.
Hey there
Mentioned below are the points of comparison between these two institutes:
NIT Nagpur:
NIT Raipur:
Both are quite good institutes and it is difficult to say which one is better.
For more about NIT Nagpur:
Hello,
Seat allotment in CSAB counselling depends on total number of candidates applied for CSAB counselling, All India rank of the candidate, category of the candidate, preferences of institute and branch, seat availability etc. Depending on these factors the seats are allotted to the eligible candidates. It is quite difficult to predict the chances of getting seat in Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering because the cut off changes every year. You haven't mentioned your category assuming that you belong to general category last year a candidate with AIR 36340 secured admission in to Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
The cut off may decrease in subsequent rounds depending on total number of candidates applied for counselling, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. To check the cut off use the link given below

Hello
Congratulations for that good marks. By considering your catagory and your score, you can get any of these.
As per student's reviews, experience and ratings, Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat (SVNIT ) is better than Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur (VNIT Nagpur).

Hello aspirant,
I hope you're doing well as for your query,
- The fees for VNIT is as follows:
- The fees is nearly 65k with some miscellaneous fees.
- But they avail scholarships for students whose income is less than 1L/a and also for students under categories.
- So with the scholarships it will be much lower.
- I hope this information is valuable for you.
Best of luck
Have a nice day .
Hi,
Hope you are doing well.
The Seat allotment of JOSAA depends on various factors like Gender, community, Category, hime state quota etc. The Choice filled by Student is also considered while allotment of seats.
The change in institute during mock and first round would be because of many of the appearing student in councelling would have changed their choice filling order . Due to which the seat allotment of round 1 differed from Mock seat allotment .
I hope this will answer your query.
Thanks!!!!!
