The campus is spread over a 10.39-acre area and offers a generally good environment for learning. We have a mix of standard and digital classrooms, though some areas still feel a bit basic. One of our biggest assets is the library, which is well-stocked with over 9,000 volumes and digital journals, providing a quiet space for study. While we have advanced labs for Cyber Security and IoT, some departmental labs could benefit from more modern equipment to keep up with current technology.

The college is an autonomous institution affiliated with JNTU Kakinada, which means the curriculum is regularly updated to be more industry-relevant. Most of our faculty members are qualified, with many holding PhDs or M.Tech degrees, and they are generally described as friendly and helpful. They often use soft teaching methods and smart boards to explain complex concepts. While the semester exams can be tough, the teaching quality ensures a decent pass percentage of around 80%.

Placement performance at ASIST has shown a positive trend, with the placement rate reaching around 75%–95% in recent years for eligible students. In 2025, over 400 students secured offers, with the highest package reaching ₹6 LPA, while previous years saw peaks of up to ₹12 LPA. Top recruiting companies frequently visiting our campus include HCL, TCS, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra. The placement cell is quite active, offering training in communication skills and interview techniques to help us prepare.

Life on campus is quite vibrant, with events like the annual "Verve Fiesta" and technical fests such as "TechVibes". We have active student clubs like IEEE and "CodeCrafters" that allow us to socialize and build technical skills outside the classroom. The college provides facilities for both indoor and outdoor sports, including a gym and regular tournaments. The hostel environment is supportive with clean rooms, though food reviews are mixed—some find it tasty with special non-veg items, while others prefer eating in the affordable canteen.

Overall, my experience at ASIST is that it is a solid choice for students seeking a balanced engineering education at a reasonable cost. It is particularly well-suited for those coming from rural backgrounds due to its free bus facilities and inclusive atmosphere. While there is a strict policy on mobile phone usage during class hours, the peaceful, green environment far from city pollution makes it a focused place for study.
