You now have a chance to apply next year only and this year JEE MAIN marks and ranks won't be considered for admission next year. Rather you will have to appear for the exams again.

Hi Mayank,

You have very less chance in getting Army Institute of technology, Pune. The last cut off rank that they consider is around 1,09,056. You can try other good colleges like Lovely Professional University or VIT, Vellore.

Here are the main points and eligibility criteria for admission in AIT, Pune-

• Children of serving/retired Army personnel are eligible. The parent should have completed minimum 10 years of service in the Army. Detailed eligibility criteria will be published in the Prospectus being made available in February 2018.


• Class XII or equivalent (appeared or passed) with compulsory subjects as Physics and Mathematics alongwith one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational Subject. Candidates should obtain at least 50% in the above combination subjects.

• Should appear for JEE (Main) 2018 examination and have acquired appropriate/required ranking as per All India Ranking List published by CBSE for admission to Engineering Colleges. (Last year’s last admitted student’s All India Ranking was 1,06,970).
