If you  belong to general category, stop dreaming about getting into CBIT. If you belong to any of the reserved categories, the chances are low. If you make up to it, yet you'd be ending up with the least preferred branches.

Hello aspirant. Irrespective of the college you belong to from B.E or B.Tech any one from government recognised colleges can write PGCET of any state. So you can write PGCET of Karnataka after your B.E or B.Tech from CBIT or Vasavi College.

Hello Sagar. NITs would be better than private colleges. But not all NITs. IT or CSE in CBIT, RNS, BNM would be better than IT or CSE in NIT Srinagar. Coming to placements college doesn't matter but the thing matters is your grip over the subject, knowledge and your skills.
