are very slim for popular branches like CSE, ECE, or IT, because these institutes have very high demand and their closing ranks for SC category are usually much lower (within 40–50k or even better). However, you might still have a chance in less competitive branches like Mechanical, Civil, or Biotechnology in some of their affiliated or constituent colleges, depending on vacancies and the specific counselling round. You should also keep your options open for other good colleges where your category reservation might help secure a decent branch.
