The placement in this college is very good as compared to most of the colleges in Mumbai university. The hostel facility is only for boys so girls have to reside in the nearby hostel facilities. A number of activities take place in the college technical as well as non technical . There are numerous councils and teams in college to name some of them tedx , Rotaract, ITSA , etc which give students a platform to showcase their talents. The computers department has some good professors and teachers.

The college infrastructure includes 9 floors. The engineering college starts from 3rd floor onward. Apart from the typical classroom and lab structure every college has; this college has a separate gaming room, locker facilities, huge auditorium (called 'Samvaad') and a separate seminar hall. Some labs have Linux while few have Mac OS installed unlike traditional windows lab. Faculties are highly educated and also have industrial experience, hence out of portion knowledge required for industrial exposure is provided overall. Industrial work is also exposed through Industrial visits, undertaking projects(even on national level and university level) and organising various competitions . College has 4 branches namely Computers, Production, Electronics and Information Technology. Every branch induces a new hope to prove them the best and thus there is more exposure to technical trends. College has different technical teams spread across all 4 branches that not only compete nationally and internationally but stand first in continent as well. The balance between studies and co circular activities is filled by the councils of the college. The college has more than 15 councils ranging from coding to rotary; from NSS to management; from games to talks. This councils bring in exposure to real world with their events. The College is highlighted by its two classic festivals. Crescendo - Technical Festival and Euphoria - Cultural Festival. The best part of this college is that it is located at Bandstand, Bandra. The cool breeze always keeps you fresh. the college hours can be hectic sometimes, but there is always support from your seniors. The canteen is small, but the choices are more and the stairs besides the canteen are perfect place to create memories.

Its good ok u dont need to go to tution class because u will be tortured so much by your own teachers that u will feel frustrated like why i took this college its fests are also ok nothing compared to rait and other college but teaching here is much good than other colleges . here they try to give as much knowledge as they can to score marks, dissapointing but one needs to adjust.

It's OK ok actually it used to blame this college for putting all the restrictions etc that it's not letting me enjoy my life and bla bla and here they only teach for marks . But it's a fact that even they teach u how to score marks there is a slight possibility that u might understand the subject because in other Mumbai university colleges the condition is even more pathetic . so best of luck

College where innovation meets dedication

Once you have completed your schooling on of the most important aspect for any student would be to pursue graduation from a reputed college, pursue your dreams. I got and opportunity and got into Father angel conceicao college of engineering also famously known as Father Agnel located in Bandra west one of the reputed colleges in Maharashtra. During this four years of the journey, I learned a lot from various students and lecturers which made me acquire a lot of technical knowledge and made me understand the basic nuances of technical education. Our days at college started from 8:30 in the morning and went up till 5:30 pm in the evening wherein the day included practical’s, workshop and lectures so we got only half an hour for lunch which also included our time for doing any assignment or discussion on any topic. Our faculty in electronics department was very strict in terms of attendance as well as punctuality was another aspect that they considered very crucial and we were expected to follow it every day. However with the passage of time we got to understand the importance of the morals they were trying to inculcate within us. The lectures were carried out in a systematic way however at times we were made to sit for 3 to 4 hours for a particular subject which at times made us frustrated and a bit confused about the subject as well. The placements of the college is very good ,however, for electronics and production, it is relatively less.In terms of academic curriculum the college follows Mumbai university syllabus which is relatively outdated and not much industrial oriented. The college apart from studies also believes in celebrating so we had two fests one was technical fest called technomania and the other is cultural fest called euphoria which made us take up new projects in technical fest and learn to innovate , in cultural fest leaving apart our studies we did some activities like dancing, skit or singing .The fees of the college are 4 lakhs and for placements, minimum placement package is 2.8 lakhs and highest is 11 lakh so in terms ROI the college is far ahead of other colleges. SO the four years that we have spent their were memorable I always cherish it and the learnings would always be with us all along our life as we move ahead in our future ambitions .

About College:

The Father (Fr.) Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering (CRCE) is an engineering college, located in Mumbai, the financial capital of India. The city is also the capital of the state of Maharashtra. Established back in the year 1984, the CRCE is an unaided, minority institute. It is affiliated to the University of Mumbai. This affiliation also ensures the approval of the UGC (University Grants Commission). The tech courses here have been ratified by the AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). It has also been accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation). The campus is located in the posh Bandra locality of Mumbai, overlooking the majestic Arabian Sea.

The college has been named after Reverent Fr. Conceicao Rodrigues, who was one of the founding members of the CRCE, and a noted educationist. The Society of St. Francis Xavier, Pilar has been behind the college’s establishment. This trust runs educational institutions all over the country in Goa, Noida, New Delhi, Pune, Navi Mumbai, Thane and of course in Mumbai. This particular branch is also known as the Fr. Agnel Bandra. The society also runs a school, which houses classes right from the kindergarten till class twelve. Besides engineering, the technical complex also houses a polytechnic, to facilitate skill training.

The Mumbai- based Father (Fr.) Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering runs courses right from the UG till doctoral levels. At the undergrad level, the B.E. programmes are available for the areas of- Production Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering and in Information Technology. At the master’s level, the courses get more technical. So, the M.E. programmes are available in the areas of- Mechanical Engineering and in Electronics Engineering. Doctoral programmes may also be availed here from across the areas. Admissions to the UG programmes is vial the MH- CET (Maharashtra Common Entrance Test) and on the basis of merit at school- leaving exams. Scores of the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Mains may also be considered. The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) may be used up for master’s level admissions.

The entire academics at the CRCE is run by a cohort of five departments, each with expertise in its own area. Four of these are for the areas in which the B.E. programme may be taken up. The fifth one of them is the Department of Science and Humanities. This one deals with the fundamental sciences of physics, chemistry and mathematics, plus the English language courses here. The library here is one of the best stocked within the region. Besides the physical books on display, it also provides digital access to en number of international academic journals for research and academic purposes.

The campus has much to offer. There are hostel facilities for both boys and girls. Banking facilities with ATM, convenience stores and access to public transport may all be availed from immediately outside the college’s campus. There is a sports field where cricket and football may be played. Facilities are also there for indoor sports. The gymnasium may also be used by all. A large auditorium is there to facilitate major events, at both intra and inter college level. The campus is Wi- Fi enabled. Science laboratories have the latest of equipment. A health centre is also there to cater to medical emergencies. Hygienic food is prepared at the college cafeteria.

The Father (Fr.) Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering in Maharashtra has also tied up with several noted organizations to propel ahead the college’s industry interface. Academia- industry connect is one of the key tenets, the CRCE has always strived to work on. For this purpose, it has inked up several MOUs with leading corporates. The most prestigious of these is with the TCS. Another is with Eduvance, while the college also hosts a local chapter of the ACM. The CRCE is a signatory to the AICTE initiative called e- Yantra. National- level seminars and conferences have also been held on campus.

There is also a thriving student life on campus, with several events being conducted here, by the student council. The so- spelled CResCEndo is the flagship annual tech fest held on campus. There are smaller departmental events held as well. The top events such as the International Yoga Day are closely commemorated here. Workshops are frequently held on the cutting- edge technologies. The college organizes a highly prestigious Hackathon here, which attracts top level participation. The main debate on campus is named after the college’s founder. All this and much more has helped the college scale the heights across ranking platforms.

The MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) powered NIRF (National Institutional Rankings Framework) has placed the CRCE within the 151- 200 band among engineering colleges. The placements too have hit the right chord over the years, as the industry players have recognized the work put in by the Father (Fr.) Conceicao Rodrigues College of Engineering. The Mumbai location definitely helps in that respect. Some of the key recruiters from campus over the recent seasons have been the likes of- Accenture, TCS, BNP Paribas, L&T Infotech, Mu Sigma, Morgan Stanley, Oracle, SAP Labs, Directi, JP Morgan Chase and several more of that ilk.
