Hey Harsh,

As per the reviews I have received till date, there are two hostels, one for girls and one for guys, with identical infrastructure. Both contain an indoor kitchen and mess area, as well as bedrooms that can accommodate at least 200 students. The cuisine is excellent, and the service is quite pleasant. Only the issue is that there is some problems regarding water facility.

But what to say , after all its hostel buddy.

Thank You.

Hello aspirant,

As you haven't specified a course here, I can list the cut off for various branches. Also you have an average KEAM score, with this score your rank could be above 20k.

If you are from reserved category you have a chance to bag a seat at these branches:

Mechanical Engineering: Cut off-22k

ECE, Cut-off:21k

IT: 34k

The above results have been deducted using the previous years cut off trends, so the actual results might vary.

You could access previous cut-offs here:

KEAM Cutoff 2021, 2020, 2019- Check Previous Year Cut off, Qualifying Marks (careers360.com) I hope this information helps!

Thank you.

Hi Aspirant,

Aurangabad's Government College of Engineering is an autonomous institution. To get admission to the Government College of Engineering, you must either take the JEE or the MHCET exam. Admission to this college demands a JEE Mains score of at least 90 percentile and an MHCET score of at least 95 percentile. You will be admitted based on any of these two criteria. This college's admissions process is completely based on merit and category you belongs to.

Hope this helps!

All the best!

Hello,

Both NIT Goa and GEC Goa are two different institutes. So they have different faculties. Goa Engineering College (GEC) once temporarily accommodated and functioned NIT Goa for few years . Reports suggests that NIT Goa will be in its permanent campus by July 2021. You can refer the official websites links of the institutes to check the faculties of Electrical department,

Hope this helps.

I don't think there will be great prob if you haven't studied CS in +2. You can take the subject and you can study. As you are interested in the subject matter then you will not get bored with the subject and as a result if a problem arises you will stay focused and will think to solve it. So there will no problem with CS if you haven't read it before.

Having a knowledge in CS will definitely help you in interdisciplinary fields. So yeah , It will be a very fruitful choice for your future endeavors!

I hope my answer helps you. Good Night!

Greetings, Shreya.

Learning CS is only as difficult as you make it out to be. If you like problem solving and are interested in learning how software are developed then no one is stopping you.

- There are plenty of online resources and books since it is a popular field so you won't get stuck on a problem for very long

- You can self learn a lot of the things in your free time (just 1 hour a day can be enough in the beginning)

- It is a simple logic based study and it's fun

Is it a good combination with geography?

That depends on your careers plans for the future, really. Geography and CS is an unorthodox combination to be honest but you are interested in both of them then go for it, as they say 'no knowledge is ever useless'. You will find your way once you get the hang of both the subjects as to what do you want to do with them. Go for CS related career, or UPSC or what gives. I'd say research more on what CS is all about and do not rush the decision.

Good luck

Hi, since you have not mentioned the exact course you are intersted in knowing about, I am assuming it to be Bachelors in Engineering. So, the fees in Government Engineering College, Raipur in lateral entry is around INR 54,000 . The duration is 3 years and it will be a full time UG  course. Hope this helps!

Hi Rahul,

I will brief you about CSE branch in GEC  Bhubaneshwar:

  • Placements: The CSE branch has the highest placement records as compared to other branches of GEC.  About 80-95% students get placed. The highest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA while the lowest was 2.5 LPA.
  • Infrastructure: There are no advanced facilities. WiFi is available for students, The campus does not have any canteen.
  • Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable and highly qualified in their subjects. The teaching quality is very good.  There are special classes for placement preparations too.

Overall, it is a good college for CSE.

Hi Rahul, I hope this is Government Engineering College, GNR. The CSE branch is the most preferred currently. On an average about 60-70% students get placed every year. The placement cell is enthusiastic and the students who satisfy the cgpa criteria bag a company easily. The highest package offered is 7LPA and average package is of 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro visit college every year.

Hope this helps.

Dear aspirant,

Government Engineering College (GEC), Bharuch, Gujarat started its functions from the year 2004. The college is affiliated to Gujarat Technological University (GTU). It can be a good choice in term of less fees structure and afterall it's a government college. But SVIT has better academics and placement cell. It's also an old Institute as it had established in the year 1997. Many companies visit campus and has a excellent placement record which is undoubtedly better than GEC. If fees doesn't matter SVIT would be better choice.

Hope it would be helpful.

Really good college in the city.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is quite good, but it is small compared to other colleges. Wi-Fi and labs are available. The speed of Wi-Fi is average most of the time. All kinds of sports facilities are available, and all kinds of sports equipments are provided by the college

Giving review to my college is one of the good experience.

College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of the college is too good. It has all the facilities and equipment for the students like WiFi, projector, separate lab with AC. The living space is always clean and the food provided by the college is hygienic for health.
