College infrastructure pretty good but there is plenty of space laptop which can be used for further development of sports pitches but the workshops are equipped with new machines they are planning to build a new blog for the VLSI department and the lapse for the workshop are well equipped with modern technology and circuit components.
Academics of a college is ok the teaching skills should be understand the part to students and if the basics around clear of a student they should be able to make it clear so that the students are able to understand the topic. They are quotes supportive if you have any doubt them in Whatever is needed for your academics to clear
In our collage we have our own college placement cell, which includes a committee of students and teachers. Where we get to explore many things which are required and also to learn more regarding placement.
Dream Campus of every ENGICO- Theres something incredibly nostalgic about the classrooms, late night lab sessions, chai breaks at canteen , refereshing vibe near windmill and chitchat at parking lot was fun
Studying Computer Engineering at GEC was life changing. The professors here were not only knowledgeable but were truly passionate about what they teach, the curiculum were aligned with real world industry demands.
I still remenber the nerves and excitement .Around 100% placements were offered to eligible students and I was trilled to see the offers going as high as 24lpa and average salary of about 10-12lpa, which was really impressive
Studying at GEC was truly one of the most memorable chapters of my life. From rushing to morning lectures , late night project work ,chai breaks near the canteen to the countless memories during tech festivals - spectrum , and not to forget TANDAV AND HAPPENINGS the most awaited culture fests. GEC didnt just shape my career it shaped me.
GEC will always have a special place in my heart. The best part? the peace and calm that surrounded us.From walking though tree lined paths to late evening chats near the cateen, every corner held stories. And ofcourse we had our shared of complaints canteen food that tested our survival instincts but thats what made it all real and raw. From hackathons to cultural fests, DJ nights , there was never a dull moment at GEC. GEC wasnt just a college it was an emotion, an era and a family. FOREVER Grateful .Proud Engico.#Sansattavan
the infrastructure is old but pretty well maintained. It has all the necessary facilities needed such as a canteen, library, hostels, general stores, printing shops, etc. it also has a lot of open space and grounds.
The college offers 6 courses to the students( mining not included). The faculty is great with a good experience. The curriculum though is not up to date with the current developments in the field. Self study is required to remain up to date with the course.
Well known companies visit the college for placements and the students are offered good packages. A majority of the students qualify to sit for these placements but not all are selected. Each company has a different set of requirements to be eligible for the interviews.
Since it is a government college the fees are extremely low in comparison to other engineering colleges in the state as well as outside. For the amount being paid, each penny is worth taking admission in this college.
The college has a huge and a beautiful campus located on on a hilltop in Ponda. It has a lot of open space and barren land. It has all the necessary facilities available. Since the campus is huge there is no control on the entry of outsiders.
Could expect some improvement in the hostels and the canteen.
The college infrastructure is quite old. The main building is falling apart so this year students have been moved out of this building and into their respective departments. Laboratories and workshop are in fairly good shape. Computer laboratories are mostly filled with virus laden and non functional computers from the early 2000s
I am studying Computer Engineering because there is a lot of opportunity in that field. The quality of teaching of the senior faculty is fairly good, unfortunately most students will get contract faculty who will make your life miserable.
Goa College of Engineering has usually had the best and highest quality placements of all the engineering colleges in Goa. All students who are eligible for placements usually get them and the package is usually fairly decent

Hey,
Yes,it is possible to transfer directly to 2nd year at MSRIT of you have completed your first year. You might need to pay the full fees of four years engineering at your current college, if your college demands so and you also need to have influential contacts to change your college.
You can also opt for student exchange program, which means a student from MSRIT wants to transfer to Goa College of engineering then you can take his seat.
I hope this helps
