Government College of Engineering and Research, Pune Admission Process
Government College of Engineering and Research, Pune offers admissions for undergraduate programmes. GCOEAR Pune admission is granted to candidates by policies and procedures overseen by the Maharashtra State Directorate of Technical Education. Engineering and Architecture is the stream in which the GCOEAR Pune admissions are offered.
Students are advised to have 10+2/Intermediate /PUC from a recognised board and GCOEAR Pune admissions into the BE/BTech programme are given based on MHT-CET exam scores. Admissions to the first year of undergraduate courses at GCOEAR Pune for the Academic Year 2024-25 will be conducted by direct counselling (On The Spot) Round only.

If a candidate of higher merit reports late during the process of counselling, the candidate may be considered for allotment of a seat available at that point in time for a particular category to which he/she belongs. The decision of the GCOEAR Pune admission committee shall be final and binding.

GCOEAR Pune B.E/B.Tech Admission Process 2025
Online or offline GCOEAR Pune admission application forms will be accepted by the eligible students.
Aspirants are advised to have valid MHT CET scores.
Aspirants are shortlisted on a merit basis.
Merit students are advised to appear on campus on said date and time for further process.
Applicants are allotted seats based on the student's performance in the GCOEAR Pune counselling process.
Confirmation of the allotted seat to the candidate is subject to the submission of requisite GCOEAR Pune admission fees, original documents and anti-ragging format immediately.
Submit the documents for verification to get the GCOEAR Pune admission confirmed.

Academics
Teachers are good not the temporary one. Focuses only on theory not the practical real time problem in industry. Academic visits are not conducted regularly. Other activities like ROBOCON, BAJA, etc. Are good.
College Infra
College campus was huge and specious including big parking area, boys and girls hostel also staff quarters and big canteen area. Football ground is there. Every branch has separate building having own laboratory.
Campus Life
Campus life is so boring as there is nothing to do with that campus. Pune is around 65 km from college.
Placements
Placements are poor. Only 30 percentage students placed with avg. 3.5 to 5. Placement head is posting only links but not take any training sessions for interview preparation. You can only expect government B.E. degree.
Value For Money
The college had very low fees as for SC only 162 rs , OBC 6000 rs and for open category 25000 rs.

Placements at my college are decent. Around 70% of students got placed. The highest package went to the Computer Science course, at 80,0000. The average salary is reasonable at 50,000. The placement process was somewhat challenging, but the college provided support. Improvements in industry connections could enhance the overall placement scenario.
Value For Money
My hypothetical course costs 80000 per year. Generally, I feel it's worth the investment due to quality education, well-equipped facilities, and decent placement opportunities. However, occasional improvements in teaching methodologies and more practical exposure could enhance the overall value for money.
