Government College of Engineering, Chandrapur Facilities Details: Hostel, Campus, Infrastructure, Library, Canteen

The college provides Hostel facilities to the Boys' students. The Hostel is located in the residential zone of the college campus. The Boys' Hostel has a total of 88 rooms, which have an Intake capacity of approximately 176 students. The Hostel Rooms at GCE Chandrapur are well-ventilated and well-furnished with a Table, Chair, Bed, Cupboard, Ceiling Fans, and Tube Lights. A Common Room, Dining Hall, Reading Room, Mess, Badminton Court, and RO Water Purifier facility are available in the Boys' Hostel. The Boys' Hostel is fully Wi- Fi enabled. 

The college provides Hostel facilities to the Girls' students at the residential zone of the college campus. The Hostel is spacious and well ventilated. The Girls' Hostel at GCOEC has a total of 80 Rooms, which can accommodate approximately 156 students. Facilities for the Wi- Fi, RO Water Purifier, Common Room, Mess, Badminton Court, and round-the-clock security are available in the Girls' Hostel. The Hostel Rooms are well furnished with a Table, a Bed, a Cupboard, a Chair, Tube lights, and Ceiling Fans. 

The college has a Medical Centre which provides Medical Assistance to the staff members and the students in times of emergency. 

The college has a Library which has a rich collection of Books, National and International Journals. The college Library is fully furnished and computerised. A Book Bank facility is also available for the category of students at no cost. The Library has a separate section for reference books for the students, Research Scholars, and faculty members. At one time, the college Library could accommodate 25 students and 25 faculty members. The Library at GCOEC has a Reading Room with Internet facility, E- Learning facility, and Newspapers. A facility for Xerox is available in the Library.  

The college has a Playground which can be used by the students to play Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, and Handball. The college also provides various other facilities for sports and games to the students. 

The college campus is connected through the wired and wireless network through NKN connectivity. The Internet bandwidth is 100 Mbps. Wired connections are available through 800-plus nodes evenly spread throughout the college campus.   

The college has a Canteen on the college campus, which serves snacks, lunch, and beverages to the staff members and the students at reasonable prices. 

The college has a fully air-conditioned auditorium, which has a seating capacity of approximately 350 people. A state-of-the-art Audio System is available in the Auditorium. The college also has a fully air-conditioned Audio-Visual- Visual Room which has a seating capacity of approximately 100 people. 

The college has several departmental Laboratories and Workshops which are equipped with sophisticated tools and equipment. 

The college has a Guest House and staff quarters, which are situated on the college campus. 

The college has a gymnasium equipped with modern exercise equipment and machines. 

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college Placement Cell provides the infrastructural facilities to conduct group discussions, tests, and interviews. The college is actively organizing on-campus and off-campus interviews for its students to get proper placement.

The college has Workshop is the backbone of the Institute's practical, all maintenance & project-related activities are carried out here. Under the visionary leadership of Principal, Dr. S. G. Akojwar, and the Guidance of Workshop Superintendent, Prof. S. D. Butley, the workshop Department has emerged as the powerhouse to enhance the practical and technical skills of budding technocrats.

The college has an Extracurricular activities facility for all students.
