Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur Admission Process:
Jyothi Engineering College, Thrissur offers admission to the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Admission to the undergraduate course will be done through KEEE examination conducted by the KEAM while for postgraduate courses candidates have to appear for the GATE examination. Further, the candidates have to appear for the counselling process. The detailed admission process is given below:
For Undergraduate Courses:
- The selection of the candidates is based on Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM) for Management Quota seats and on the basis of merit in Higher Secondary Examination for Govt. Quota seats.
- The candidates have to fill the online application form on the website of JEC.
- The selected candidates have to appear for the counselling process for seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
For Postgraduate Courses:
- Candidates should qualify Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
- The candidates have to fill the online application form on the website of JEC.
- Priority will be given to the candidates having valid GATE Score. In case seats remain vacant, then candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE Score will be considered for admission. If seats are still vacant, candidates from other states will be considered for admission.
- Selection will be based on merit through open counselling process.

Candidates, who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following conditions, are eligible for admission.
They must have a valid GATE score.
A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.
Candidates who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he/she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th-semester exam. Confirmation of admissions of such candidates shall be subjected to the production of qualifying Degree before the date stipulated by APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.
The first priority for admission shall be to those with valid GATE score.
In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE Score will be considered against such vacancies. If seats are still remaining vacant, candidates from other states will be considered for admission.
