Kalyani Government Engineering College closing rank for:-

 Year 2017 - 1973

 Year 2016 - 2027

 Year 2015 - 2314

As you can see that your very close to the closing ranks of all three years. But wth 2832 I would say that there is a very, very slim chance for your admission into the college in this year. Maybe, just maybe your rank might fall within the closing rank. 

Which institute and which branch.? Please mention the institution name.

Hi Saheli, Last year admissions in Kalyani College were given till WBJEE SC category rank 10000 in the first round and till rank 16000 in the third round. So good news for you. You will definitely be admitted. The best departments in the college in terms of career opportunities and salary packages are Computer Science and Engineering(CSE) and Electronics and Communication Engineering(ECE) in which 75% of the candidates get placed in campusing alone with the average pay scale being 4-5 lakhs per annum. So you can consider these two departments especially for taking admission in. Good Luck.

I don't think that whit this rank you will secure a seat in government collge. As you have tagged Kalyani College its round 3 closing cut off rank was 4470. So go for private colleges.

I would advice you some colleges for yoyr rank,

1. Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology, Kolkata

2. Asansol Engineering College, Asansol

3. Adamas University, Jagannathpur

4. Narula Institute of Technology, Agarpura
