Average college for knowledge, no college life but fun

    College Infrastructure

Really small in size , WiFi available only in library, canteen food is fine but it's better outside. Classrooms are ok, the labs are good (only if you are with correct professors). Other things like cleanliness and hygiene are good.

    Academics

I am studying CSE because of my interest and only teachers which would be helpful are seniors and self. Seniors are really a great help if you reach them otherwise it won't Matter. For your subject study you are going to study only on YouTube and Akash.

    Placements

Not good not good not good. If you are best then ok but for average student you are wasted. If you are here just for knowledge then it is ok because with seniors and other groups you will learn a lot but for placement you may suffer.

    Value for Money

It is 1.3 lakhs per year and but college is not worth of it

    College Infrastructure

Due to the sheer size there is no possibility for any outrageous stuff. The cellular connectivity is also poor. The college canteen is superb and also has vareing meals on special days. Don't know much about the hostel life.

    Academics

Good student background and a very good mentor program. The main highlight of beaing in Delhi is the student foreground.Students here are well educated and have a great knowledge on the subject and also very helpful.

    Placements

The college shine when it comes to placement numbers. Thanks to the new management and the placement co-ordinator. Apart from this due to the excellent mentors we get a very open and clear perspective of the market.

    Others

Yes the campus life is not upto the mark but you are in south west Delhi.

As a whole I would say you'll enjoy college life here.

    College Infrastructure

Our college has all the basic necessities a college should have but at times our water coolers start to leak. We don't have WiFi all over the college but we do have WiFi service in our Library. We have projectors in almost every class and air conditioning in top floor classes. Hygiene is maintained quite well all over the campus and food is also fine. Atleast food is prepared with hygiene though quality is not that fine.

    Academics

I'm studying computer science engineering because this college is among the best colleges of GGSIPU. Quality of teaching is fine every faculty is experienced. Curriculum is not very much updated but it is updated a bit like recently AI was added in our curriculum. Yes we can say what we are taught makes us job ready.

    Placements

Placements are average as any private college of the nation. But almost every student gets placed, highest salary i know is 19 lakhs which was offered to computer science student few students were even placed in google. I think the average package is 4-5 lakhs.

    Value for Money

1,10,000 per year is my fees but now it's upgraded to 1,35,000 yearly. Am I getting my money's worth i don't think so as colleges with same fee structure offer fee more facilities like 24*7 library WiFi in campus and many books other than the course books like fiction and many more.

    Campus Life

Our college is kind of small in size. Student's can involve in almost every kind of activities we have a lot of societies for that be it technical or extra curricular from music dance to dramatics. Teachers are a bit strict and rest staff is fine. Location wise college is perfect as you can reach here very easily using public transport and it is safe also as we have a traffic police headquarters right in front of the college.

In my view college in great. I have good friends.I feel good

    College Infrastructure

Our college have all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments in the lab. Normal classroom with black/green boards. Labs are well equiped and library is well maintained with almost every genre of books.

    Academics

I am pursuing BTech CSE morning shift. Because it's a field of my interest. College professors only help if you ask for doubts and notes. And the qualitu of academics is good. But in college you have to study om your own.

    Placements

The placements here are good. Everyone get placed on companies that visit campus. Occasionally multinational companies like amazon microsoft and google also visit college for placements some get placed. Average placements package is around 4-5lakh per anum.

    Value for Money

My course cost around 1.10 lakh per year. Yes it is value for money when we compare this college to other colleges of GGSIPU. Placements are good and resources are great provided by college but it lacks somewhere in playground and canteen. Overall connectivity is best for this college.

    Campus Life

In college there is lot of greenery. Campus is quiet and have a lot space to hangout with your friends. There is so much food facilities available near college. There is big park in front of college and location is good when we see connectivity. One can reach there by bus also. Bus stand is almost in front of college. All emergency equipments are there. Teachers are inspiring and motivate you to do something with your life.

    Others

There is so much fun in this college. You can hangout with your friends. If you need to study alone there is library and common room. Nearby area is good. Metro connectivity is best so you can go anywhere. Teachers are great. Overall this college gives healthy environment for study and also hanging out with friends.

    College Infrastructure

Our college have all the necessary infrastructure and facilities and equipments in labs. Normal classrooms with black/green board. Labs are well equipped and library is well maintained with almost every necessary genre of books. Sports room is also available. And open football ground and badminton court is also there. Regarding hostel, no wifi is provided we have to set it up our own, rooms are smaller as compared to other hostels and double occupancy is there but single rooms are also available

    Academics

I'm pursuing BTech CSE morning shift. Because it's a field of my interest. college professors help you only if you ask for doubts and notes. And the quality of studies is okay. Some teachers are great. Some don't know how to teach. But in college you have to study on your own. So it sums up for every tier-2 college. Yes! Surajmal is a semi-govt tier 2 college.

    Placements

The placements here are great. Everybody gets placed in companies which come on campus. Mass recruitment and some big companies like Amazon, microsoft also visit MSIT for placements. The college is supportive in placements. The average package is 3-4Lac/annum. And highest package was 22Lac/annum.

    Value for Money

Fees is around 90k and it gets decrease year by year. Second year it gets around 75k. Where as compared to others colleges they hike their fees in successive years. The hostel fees is also very reasonable. It's around 55k(10k security charges which are paid only once when you take the hostel for successive years it's 45k). Yes it is a value for money and resources. The college is not so far and has a good connectivity around.

    Campus Life

The college campus is good. It has lots of greenery which i love and has a calm and peaceful environment. Seniors are really helpful and will do all they can on their part. The societies are a good platform to communicate and grow. Location is very safe and nearest metro station is Janakpuri east. There is police headquarter in front of campus and a fire station too. The college is safe in every aspect.

    Others

There are many outlets to hangout near the college campus. The management is strict in terms of attendance so you must maintain 75% attendance to avoid phone calls and letters to your home. But irrespective of that you do get to give your examinations. No problem in that. Also 75% attendance is very necessary for hostel. Irrespective of flaws the college the crowd is great. And you'll find a very healthy and friendly environment. Surajmal will definitely give you life long friendships. :))

    Proud to be a MSITIAN

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The college has a decent infrastructure, though it is not as gigantic as other DU colleges in Delhi. There are six floors, each floor dedicated to certain courses. The sports facilities are not that developed but there is a playground and indoor games; canteen has affordable food items which are hygienic. The classrooms are well-maintained with smart boards installed and functional and the washrooms are spic and span. The WiFi facility is available, though the connectivity is poor.

    Academics

I was pursuing IT in MSIT and the course was pretty well designed. The faculty is experienced with emphasis given on practical aspect of the education, as most of our time is spent in labs. The curricula, in general of all the courses, are updated till date and compatible with the roles offered by the job sector. The teachers are supportive at each and every step, and there is no attendance issue.

    Placements

The placement drive is conducted in the college with big players visiting the campus like Infosys, Microsoft and HCL. The highest package offered when I graduated was 23 lacs p/a. The average package, on the other hand, is very low falling under 5 lacs p/a. The roles offered favor only some courses, and not all students can expect placements in their respective fields. There is an active placement cell looking after the companies visiting the campus, and hence college is supportive indeed.

    Value for Money

I personally was proud to be in MSIT as it is a top college in IP university. Being a semi-government institution, it is a bit expensive as the annual tuition fee was around 1 lac p/a, but the facilities provided and the type of academic aspect was remarkable, and worth the investment. The placement drive was an area which needed improvement, but otherwise MSIT was worthwhile, and rightly so.

    Campus Life

MSIT was located at a very favorable developed landmark with cafes, outlets and even a mall at a walk-able distance. There are many societies for the students to engage in, with some educational societies imbibing societal values among the students, and others helping students hone their skills in the extra-curricular department like music and dance. The crowd is cheerful and the teachers are warm. It has a medical room to handle the emergencies.

    Others

MSIT is a very good college for people who want quality education. Students pursuing sports might not get their share in the college, but academic-oriented students would have their full share.

Good quality of teaching all faculties are highly experienced and competent and highly skilled and full of knowledge and makes the student industry ready and make him competent and give surviving skills in the market.

    Placements

Placement cell and Oberoi sir is awesome his connections and reputation is good and even great within the companies mass recruiting companies are there like Tata consultancy company Infosys and Accenture

    Value for Money

Fees is moderate and education for that is awesome gives you 100% placement and sets the career parents expectation are fulfilled and I am also placed in two companies in Accenture and NIIT technologies

    Campus Life

Awesome campus life awesome outdoors average sports facilities but good crowd especially girls and conversation between senior and junior and hostel life and everything is good food isn’t awesome and healthy.

    Academics

Excellent Full of Knowledge and very good curriculum. I think it is not so good but I am satisfied with all my subject that will be taught in class. All useful and important subjects which is company wants to needs from Fresher

    Placements

Placement is very good and All the major company and minor company are came to our college campus for recruitment the fresher's and avg package is nearly 3-4 LPA and Heighest package goes to 40LPA by Adobe.

    Value for Money

Yes it is value for money and I am very lucky to admission in this college because this is No. 2 college in IPU list and proud to be a part of MSITIAN. It is worth college and per year cost is 1,10,000 Lacs. It is a semi govt. College.

    Campus Life

Have a question related to MSIT Delhi ?

The IP University MSIT Delhi cutoff for 2024-2025 is available  HERE Specifically, the closing ranks for different courses and categories can be found in the link given above

The cutoff differs based on categories like General (OPNOOS), SC, ST, and OBC, with some courses having separate cutoffs for Home State and All India quotas.

Reviewing the previous year's cutoffs (2022 and 2023) can provide insights into the expected cutoff for 2024-2025.

    Hello there,

If your son freezes the Bharti Vidyapeeth seat in the third round and pays the fee , it locks the seat and essentially means that he accepts the offer from that college.

Here’s what you need to know:

    1. JOSAA Freeze Option : Once you choose to "freeze" a seat and pay the fee, you are not eligible for further rounds of counseling, including spot rounds . This is because freezing signifies that you are satisfied with the allocated seat, and you're accepting it, preventing participation in further rounds.

    2. Options After Freezing : If your son is serious about MSIT CS and doesn't want to risk losing that opportunity, it’s better not to freeze the seat at Bharti Vidyapeeth. Instead, you can opt for:

      • Float or Slide options, which would allow you to retain the Bharti Vidyapeeth seat and try for MSIT in subsequent rounds.

      • Spot round participation : If you freeze, you cannot participate in spot rounds. So, do not freeze the seat unless you're absolutely sure you want to take it and give up on MSIT.

        Suggestion:

To ensure eligibility for MSIT and also keep Bharti Vidyapeeth as a backup, I would recommend not freezing the seat in the third round. Opt for the float option if possible and keep exploring through the next rounds, including the spot rounds . This will allow your son to try for MSIT while securing a seat at Bharti Vidyapeeth as a backup.

If you do freeze and pay the fee, you will lose eligibility for the spot rounds, so weigh the options carefully.

    Hello Amit,

With a 92 percentile in JEE Mains, you have a solid chance of securing admission to colleges like MAIT (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology), MSIT (Maharaja Surajmal Institute of Technology), and BVP (Bharati Vidyapeeth University) for B.Tech, depending on the branch and the category you belong to.

    1. MAIT & MSIT (Delhi):

    • Cutoff : For branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, the cutoff is generally between 90-95 percentile in JEE Mains.

    • Counseling : Both MAIT and MSIT take part in Delhi University counseling, and admission is based on the rank and availability of seats.

    • Reservation : If you're from a reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), you may get an advantage in the cutoffs.

      2. BVP (Pune):

    • BVP CET : While BVP conducts its own entrance exam, students with a good JEE Mains percentile often get a direct entry, especially for courses like CSE, ECE, and Mechanical Engineering.

    • Cutoff : For popular branches, cutoffs range between 90-95 percentile in JEE Mains, but you'll need to clear the BVP CET for final admission.

    • Reservation : The university also provides reservations, which could help you if you're from a reserved category.

Make sure to check each college’s official website or counseling portal for the most accurate and updated information. Also, keep an eye on the cutoffs for the specific branches you’re interested in.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank or percentile.
