Admission Process 2021
Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology offers admission to various undergraduate (B.Tech), postgraduate (M.Tech) and doctoral (Ph.D) courses. Admission to B.Tech course is done through KEAM examination followed by a counselling process while for M.Tech candidates have to qualify GATE examination. The detailed admission processes to all courses are given below:
B.Tech
- Candidates have to appear for KEAM examination conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Government of Kerala.
- Aspirants have to register for the counselling process conducted by the MBCET.
- Candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks scored in the state entrance examination and 12th examination.
- Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
M.Tech
- Candidates should qualify Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).
- Candidates have to apply online on the MBCET website.
- Admissions will be on the basis of their rank in the rank list published by DTE which is decided on the basis of valid GATE score of the student.
- Final admission will be offered after seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
Ph.D:
- Candidates have to fill an online application form on the website of MBCET.
- Aspirants have to appear and qualify Ph.D Entrance Test.
- Final admission will be offered on the basis of the marks scored in the entrance test, seat allotment, document verification and fee payment.
View Course Specific Admission Process 2021
The college code for CEE Allotment is MBT. 50% of the total seats will be filled by the Commissioner for Entrance Examination (CEE) from the list prepared by the CEE on the basis of merit and in accordance with reservation principles followed by Government. The remaining 50% seats will be filled up by the Management according to the merit. Of this 50%, 15% of the total seats is filled from the Non Resident Indian (NRI) category.
Management Quota Merit Seats
Preparation of Merit list and Allotment of Seats:
Subject to any orders that may be passed by the Courts, admission will be on the basis of merit only by adding marks obtained in the entrance examination conducted by State Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and the marks obtained for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / equivalent in the qualifying examination. The marks will be apportioned in the ratio of 50:50.
