B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026-01-01
Academics
I pursued a BTech in Compute Science and Engineering. The curriculum covers the core subjects and includes some updated topics, but the teaching quality varies across faculty members. While the academics provides a good foundation. Students need to put in additional efforts through self learning and projects to become industry ready.
College Infra
The college has basic infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for Engineering education. Classroom, laboratories, library facilities, and campus amenities are adequate, though some facilities could benefit from modernization and better maintenance to enhance the overall students experience. The campus and common area are generally clean , however the quality of food in the canteen could be improved as overall quality is below students expectations.
Campus Life
Campus Life at MCKV Institute Of Engineering is decent, with various cultural events, technical fest, and extracurricular activities that help students stay engaged. The environment is generally friendly and provides opportunities for students to build connections and participate beyond academics.
Placements
The placement opportunities are average, with around 45-50% of students getting placed. The placement process is generally smooth, but students often needs to put in efforts on their own to secure good opportunities. The college provides placement support, though there is room for improvement in attracting more quality recruiters and enhancing industry connection. Academics
Faculty are helpful and have good knowledge. They teach with easy examples. Most teachers have M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees. They explain doubts clearly. The syllabus is updated and job-focused. Teachers also help in project work and placements. Teaching style is simple and effective.
College Infra
Our campus is clean and has modern classrooms with projectors. Labs have proper tools. The library has many books and computers. Canteens serve good food at low prices. Hostels are neat with basic facilities like water and beds. Wi-Fi is there across the campus.
Placements
The college gives good placement help. Many students are placed in top companies like Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture. The highest salary goes up to 25 LPA, and the average is around 4 LPA. Internship chances are also given. Placement training starts in the third year and includes coding, soft skills, and interviews.

Academics
Teachers are qualified and ready to help. They teach basics clearly. Notes are shared for every subject. Teachers are kind and guide us during exams and projects. Some teachers also take special sessions to improve our skills.
College Infra
Classrooms are smart with projectors and internet. Labs are good for practice. Library has both course books and novels. Hostels have fans, beds, and 24/7 water. Canteens serve veg and non-veg food. Sports and gym facilities are also there.
Placements
Many students from our batch got placed. Top recruiters are TCS, Amazon, and Tech Mahindra. Highest offer was 23 LPA and average is 4.3 LPA. The college helps with placement classes, coding sessions, and mock interviews. They also invite companies for internships.
