To be honest, it is a pretty average college.

B.Tech CSE Data Science - Batch of 2025-01-01
Academics
Academics of this college was good. They taught the students well about the most important technologies and basic subjects of computer science engineering. Although not everything was taught well, few subjects had excellent faculties.
College Infra
The college infrastructure is good with proper lab facilities, a basketball court but sadly no ground. It had enough equipments and technologies for the laboratories, both software ones and hardware.
Campus Life
The campus was small but good, a student who had the intention to study could easily come to college, study, have fun and have a great time. The teachers here are quite helpful. If you were willing to do something, they would guide you as much as they could
Placements
Placements here has not been good since it has been autonomous. I have heard and experienced such problems with placements although I have heard my juniors that more companies are coming now, back in my time, it had no proper placement, with almost no reputed company coming.
Value For Money
I think although we were given enough facilities, things could have been better in many aspects. Good quality drinking water was not provided, which used to be a basic requirement. I expect some improvement in this aspect and washrooms, because these are the basic requirements, which wasn't taken care of well, provided the fees were quite high, and keeps rising every year.

Supportive faculty, Good environment for students

B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026-01-01
Academics
I pursued a BTech in Compute Science and Engineering. The curriculum covers the core subjects and includes some updated topics, but the teaching quality varies across faculty members. While the academics provides a good foundation. Students need to put in additional efforts through self learning and projects to become industry ready.
College Infra
The college has basic infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for Engineering education. Classroom, laboratories, library facilities, and campus amenities are adequate, though some facilities could benefit from modernization and better maintenance to enhance the overall students experience. The campus and common area are generally clean , however the quality of food in the canteen could be improved as overall quality is below students expectations.
Campus Life
Campus Life at MCKV Institute Of Engineering is decent, with various cultural events, technical fest, and extracurricular activities that help students stay engaged. The environment is generally friendly and provides opportunities for students to build connections and participate beyond academics.
Placements
The placement opportunities are average, with around 45-50% of students getting placed. The placement process is generally smooth, but students often needs to put in efforts on their own to secure good opportunities. The college provides placement support, though there is room for improvement in attracting more quality recruiters and enhancing industry connection. The average salary offered is around 2.2 Lakh CTC per annum, The highest package was around 66 Lakh Per Annum which was off campus recruitment of a boy of MBA department.
Value For Money
Considering the total fees is around 5 Lakh for 4 years course, the value for money is average. The college provides necessary academic infrastructure and learning environment, but improvements in placements, industry exposure, and skill development programs would make the investments more worthwhile. Students who actively works on their skills and seeks opportunities independently are likely to gain the most value from the course.
