Better than every colleges in Meerut in every way

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The hostel rooms are fine, with basic amenities and a functional mess, though the food quality varies. In addition to the sporting and recreational facilities, the campus is a safe and pleasant place to stay. In a nutshell, the infrastructures satisfy both academic and personal needs.

    Academics

Teachers invite class participation through discussions, case studies, and presentations. Some professors also extend their teaching beyond academic activities, helping students in placements and projects.

    Placements

On-campus drives are the main source of job opportunities at MIET for MBA students. To put it in numbers, about 50-55% of the eligible ones managed to get job offers. The best offer that was made recently was about 8-9 LPA while the lowest was around 2.5 LPA. The average package stays near 4–5 LPA.

Strictness is very high towards girls here

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Classrooms have projectors and Wi-Fi, though the internet speed is not always satisfactory. The computer labs are well-equipped and up-to-date, which encourages students to do more through research and assignments. MIET is also in good shape and well-managed with the areas of class, seminar, and group session clearly marked on campus.

    Academics

The teaching quality is good on the whole, and all the professors are well-qualified and supportive; they not only teach the academics but also help in the communication and presentation skills development. Most of the faculty members are having the required industrial backgrounds, which is quite instrumental in the linking of theory with practical cases.

    Placements

The placement team is active in inviting companies, however, the access to the companies is neither frequent nor as reliable. A decent number of students were able to get placements last year, but at the same time, a good number of students had to look for jobs outside the campus. The highest salary package was close to 9-10 LPA

    College Infrastructure

The facilities at MIET for MBA students are okay. Classrooms have projectors and Wi-Fi, and the library has a decent collection of management books, journals, and case studies. The campus is clean and airy, with a separate building for management studies.

    Academics

Faculty members are approachable and qualified, many of them have industrial as well as academic experience. They do not only teach the curriculum but also guide us in projects, presentations, and group discussions. The course content is quite close to the industry and imparts concepts like marketing, finance, and HR through case studies.

    Placements

The highest package is usually around 6–7 LPA, whereas the average is 3–4 LPA. A handful of companies like HCL, Axis Bank, and Tech Mahindra send their representatives to the campus, but in comparison to B-schools in big metro cities, the number of available positions is very low.

Fees- Expensive while Placements - Below Average

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Laboratories are operational, and most of the equipment are in good working condition, but they are not always updated. Classrooms look average but are maintained well enough to conduct lectures smoothly. I think the focus on the branch infrastructure is not as strong as that of CSE or core engineering branches.

    Academics

The faculty in the Biotechnology department is supportive and easy to approach. The difficulty level of the exam is moderate with mid-semesters and end-semesters occurring along with assignments and lab work.

    Placements

The highest salary package that I have come across was around 5 LPA, while the lowest went down to 1.8-2 LPA. The average for our branch is somewhere between 2.5-3 LPA, which is not very motivating. Companies related to pharma and small research-based firms like Sun Pharma, Biocon, or local labs only come on rare occasions, and the number of vacancies is insufficient.

Teachers support is not good for us that time

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The MIET infrastructure is not bad and is also well taken care of. The classrooms are large and hygienic. As for the labs, Biotechnology one is equipped with instruments, however, they may not always be the latest. The quality of drinking water is not very good, and this is one area where the college needs to improve.

    Academics

The faculty members of the Biotechnology department are technically sound and supportive, but the teaching method differs with each teacher. While a few among them are very committed and cooperative, the rest do not show much enthusiasm apart from driving the course through.

    Placements

The highest package in our branch has usually been close to 4-5 LPA, while the average remains around 2-2.5 LPA, and sometimes students are also left without any placement offers. A few pharmaceutical and small biotech companies sometimes visit us, but the total number of firms is quite low, and the chances of getting a job there are not very stable.

Not much okay but good for learning & growing for corporate

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of MIET Meerut basically as per the needs of the B.Tech students. Classrooms are equipped with projectors for the interactive mode of teaching. The labs are well-equipped with all the required software and hardware for IT projects and learning. Wi-Fi is accessible throughout the campus but the speed varies sometimes.

    Academics

The syllabus in the combined with the latest industrial trends and it deals with the subjects such as data structures, cloud computing, and networking which are very useful practically. Most of the faculty members are qualified and experienced, however, the manner of the teaching is dependent on the individual professor.

    Placements

Some students manage to secure good positions in IT companies, the majority of the students opt for taking the placement test off-campus. Usually, the highest packages are taken by computer science students, and IT students receive offers of software development, testing, or support.

A well Balanced Institute with good education.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Wi-Fi access is available all over the campus. The library is awesome and loaded with management books, Hostel life is comfortable and convenient if one wants medical care, sports complex, or multiple food outlets.

    Academics

The course curriculum through the years is revised to be up to the mark of the industry requirements. Exams, which sometimes are very challenging, are of a moderate level, and are fair enough to test the learners. With the proper help from the teachers, students are well-equipped for their future jobs.

    Placements

Almost 75–80% of the MBA students are able to get their placements every year. The topmost stipend reaches up to 18–20 LPA, the average stays closer to 6–7 LPA, and the minimum is roughly around 3 LPA. A handful of students just happen to be among the lucky ones to work with e.g. ITC and Capgemini, hence the placement situation is very strong and competitive.

I personally not recommending for B.Pharma admission in this

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Classrooms are large, but the lack of proper air conditioning and Wi-Fi facilities is felt by students. The library has books on pharmacy and other disciplines, but there is a shortage of recent journals and research material. There are hostels for other courses, but B.Pharma students generally face difficulties with lab timings and practical facilities.

    Academics

Teachers are quite close to students so that they can get their doubts cleared and, along with this, they also make an effort in imparting the practical parts of the course. The problem is that sometimes the curriculum feels obsolete and doesn't match the pharmaceutical industry's standards.

    Placements

Talking about placements, the condition is poor. Only a few numbers of students from my course get placements, and those are usually in small pharmaceutical companies with very less growth. Our batch's highest package was just around 3 LPA, while the majority of the offers were in the range of 1.8–2.5 LPA.

Worst Experience it feels like a prison for hosteller

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The campus is kept quite clean, but it looks a bit smaller than the college average. The Wi-Fi connection is extremely slow and at most times, the speed does not reach the given bandwidth. The library is good and contains all the necessary books but the hostel facilities are a bit disappointing.

    Academics

Communication gaps are resulting in different kinds of confusion for students. Curriculum is according to the standard B.Tech pattern which is okay but the college is not giving much exposure to the industry. The semester exam is quite uncertain, but if you have prepared 40% of the syllabus well, I suppose you can pass it somehow.

    Placements

Only a few students are able to get a decent job, and it is noticed that the firms recruiting are usually small, local companies with the offered salary varying between 2 LPA and 3 LPA. The placement cell is working, but the number of opportunities for IT students is so low that we are mostly dependent on off-campus drives and further studies for our career development.

In that much fees you can opt good college in NCR

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure of MIET is suitable for MBA students. In the campus, there are Wi-Fi, air-conditioned classrooms with projectors, and a library with good maintenance. Computer labs exist but sometimes they are not completely updated.

    Academics

The MBA curriculum is good, but it mostly consists of theory, with very little practical exposure. The exams are not very difficult, and the passing rate is approximately 30–35%. Teachers do it in a way that students are industry-ready but the placement support doesn’t go hand in hand with the academic effort.

    Placements

About 50–55% of the students get placements every year. The maximum salary for my batch was 9 lakh per annum, while the minimum was around 2.5–3 lakh per annum. Rs 4.5 lakh per annum is the approximate average package offered. Byju’s, Kotak Securities, Decathlon, PolicyBazaar, etc., have come on board for the campus recruitment drive.

Have a question related to Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology, Meerut ?

Is MIET college in jammu good for computer sciences course

    Hello

MIET Jammu is considered a good option for Computer Science courses like B.Tech CSE or BCA, especially within the Jammu region. The college is NAAC A-graded and NBA-accredited, with industry-linked labs and certifications in AI, ML, and cloud technologies. It offers decent placement opportunities with a placement rate of around 80 percent and packages ranging from 4 LPA to 12 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant recruit regularly. While academics and infrastructure are strong, student reviews highlight a strict academic environment and mixed campus life, so self-motivation is important for success.

When choosing between MIET (Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology), Meerut, and KIT (Kanpur Institute of Technology), Kanpur, for a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), several factors should be considered to determine which college might be the better fit for you.

    MIET, Meerut:

    • Reputation: MIET is one of the more established institutions in the region, known for its consistent academic performance and focus on engineering disciplines.
    • Infrastructure: The college has a well-equipped infrastructure with modern labs, libraries, and other facilities crucial for CSE students.
    • Placement: MIET has a good placement record, particularly for CSE, with companies like Infosys, TCS, and Wipro visiting the campus regularly.
    • Faculty: The faculty is experienced, with many holding advanced degrees and having industry experience.

    KIT, Kanpur:

    • Reputation: KIT has been gaining recognition for its engineering programs and is known for its discipline and academic rigor.
    • Infrastructure: KIT also offers excellent infrastructure, with state-of-the-art labs, a comprehensive library, and good hostel facilities.
    • Placement: KIT has been improving its placement statistics, with companies like HCL, Capgemini, and Tech Mahindra recruiting students.
    • Faculty: The faculty at KIT is qualified, with a strong focus on research and innovation in the CSE field.

    Conclusion:

Both colleges have their strengths, but if you're looking for a more established name with a solid track record in placements, MIET, Meerut, might be a better choice. However, KIT, Kanpur, is also a strong contender, especially if you're looking for an institution that is growing rapidly and placing an increasing emphasis on industry connections and practical learning.

Your decision might also depend on other factors like location preference, campus environment, and personal priorities. Visiting both campuses and speaking with current students or alumni could further help in making an informed choice.

    hope this helps you!!
