    The academic blocks are dedicated to specific courses, and the classrooms lack some modern amenities but are functional. Labs for computer science are filled with computers but the majority of them are outdated and need to be updated to meet industry standards.

    Academics

    The curriculum also seems a bit old-fashioned as compared to the current industry requirements, so students inevitably have to update their skills by themselves. Exams are neither very hard nor very easy, so one can pass by doing regular studying.

    Placements

    Only a handful of students get the top packages, while the majority of students receive offers ranging between 3–5 LPA. The likes of Tech Mahindra, TCS, Wipro, and some local IT firms are the usual recruiters, but the number of job openings is not very high.

    The facilities at MIET are up to the mark. Wi-Fi may not be accessible everywhere on the campus, but we have rather large and cozy classrooms for study. The library is equipped with almost all the necessary books and has computer labs with the appropriate numbers of systems for practice. Food at the canteen is good but a little expensive while the campus is huge with a nice atmosphere.

    The teaching is mostly practical and the students get a double advantage of both preparation for competitive exams and academic exams as well. The atmosphere in the classrooms is quite friendly and encouraging. Semester exams are not much difficult if the students are regular in their preparations throughout the year.

    Placements

    The place here is kept in good condition, and almost every student gets a good opportunity. The salary packages given are good, which is even better if some students get higher packages, depending on their skills. Average package lies between 3-5 LPA.

    The infrastructure of MIET is good and it offers all the necessary facilities for B.Tech. The computer labs are there with enough systems and the internet facilities are also available in the labs and library. Classrooms are nice and equipped with projectors.

    The teachers are supportive, and they possess proper qualifications. They put effort into simplifying the topics and their teaching quality is quite good. Nevertheless, the practice/exposure is limited and there should be more industry-oriented learning. The curriculum is relevant and the college follows AKTU guidelines.

    Placements

    Approximately 50-55% of the students from our batch were able to get a job. The salary package is not very high but is still comfortable. The average package is around 3.5-4 LPA while a few students got about 6 LPA. The college is not properly managing the student internship program; most of the students are doing it on their own.

    Every department has its own well-equipped classrooms and labs. The department of CSE has computer labs with latest installed systems and internet facilities. The library also has a good collection of technical books and journals, and there are some digital resources too.

    The faculty members in the CSE department are helpful, however, the teaching quality is overall average. Teachers always try to be of assistance and guide us, but still, very little practical exposure is given. The curriculum is updated according to the regulations of the university, and it is not enough to really train students for the industry.

    Placements

    A percentage of 60–65 of CSE students get placed usually in IT service-based companies. Only a few students can get the highest salary packages, while most are between ₹3 LPA and ₹5 LPA. If you are aiming for great placements, then it is necessary to not only work on your skills but also take advantage of the college support.

    The quality of the hostel is good and rooms are well kept, but sometimes the mess food is average because of the spice. Medical facilities are available inside the campus, and the playground is also large for sports and cultural activities.

    The instructors in the MBA department are very knowledgeable and quite cooperative. They motive us with the help of concepts as well as practical case studies. We are satisfied with their teaching methods. The semester exams are not very tough, but sometimes they are not conducted exactly on the proper month.

    The average salary was close to ₹55,000 per month, while the minimum was ₹25,000 and the maximum range went up to ₹90,000 per month. Moreover, approximately 70% of the students obtained internships during the program, which contributed to their real corporate exposure.

    The hostel is also okay, the food served in the mess and the canteen is hygienic and nutritious. The college also provides medical facilities within the campus and has good arrangements for sports and games which is a nice break for students.

    Most of the faculty members in the CSE department are well-qualified, supportive, and caring. They do the teaching with examples and also guide us in our projects. The semester exams, compared to other colleges, are harder but the passing criteria are fair. Regular assignments and class tests play the role of practice for us.

    The highest package in my course is up to 6 LPA whereas the lowest package is around 2.5 LPA. The majority of the students get internships during the course, the companies are mainly IT and software firms where we have TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, and Capgemini.
