    Great College with good record since starting

    At that time, the campus has been great considering the facilities offered. Except for a few, the classrooms did not have smart boards, but they were clean and well-ventilated. The library was a backbone of the management department with sufficient resource materials. Labs were present but the Wi-Fi connection was not excellent all over the campus.

    Academics

    The faculties in the MBA department were always ready to help and were full of knowledge. A lot of the teachers were highly qualified and always made the theoretical learning more practical through their own experiences. The teachers were always accessible, and besides instilling the academic discipline, they also motivated students to prepare themselves progressively in order to get better opportunities outside the campus.

    Placements

    The percentage of students who got up to 60 were placed ranged from 50 to 60%. The salary packages were not very attractive - the lowest was roughly 1.8-2.5 LPA, and the average was around 3 LPA. That year, the highest package was just below 4 LPA. The companies that came to recruit were mostly SMEs from the local area and mid-sized organizations

    The infrastructure of MIET is something to be admired. The campus is spacious and well-kept, and it provides free Wi-Fi, a digital library, and advanced labs for research and learning.     The professors are really concerned about the students and put in a lot of effort to prepare the students for academics as well as placements. Most of them possess good qualifications, have a good experience of teaching, and have industrial exposure.

    Nearly 95% of the students are able to secure job offers every year. The lowest package starts from about 3.5 LPA, while the average package is around 6–7 LPA, and a few students also make it to the higher packages which mainly depend on their track record.

    The library is really big and has a lot of management books and journals. Even the hostel facilities are good and reasonable compared to other institutes. The food in the mess is also hygienic. Sports grounds, an auditorium, and laboratories are some of the other facilities which a student can get to know while being at the college.

    The faculty members at MIET are very knowledgeable and always ready to help. Most of them are Ph.D. holders and apart from the academic knowledge, they also share their industry stories with you. They do it by means of case studies, group discussions, and live projects.

    The placement situation for MBA students in MIET is really good. Each year, a large number of well-known companies come to recruit, and nearly 80–90% of the students are able to secure jobs. The highest salary package is usually around ₹12–15 LPA, and the average package is ₹5–6 LPA.

    The infrastructure at MIET is well looked after. The MBA building comprises of large classrooms with projectors, a library with all the necessary books, and computer labs. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and doctors are available all day. Sports, as well as other extracurriculars, are also being supported by the college

    The classrooms are neat and large, and the library has a good collection of books. But the labs still could be more modernized and with the use of state-of-the-art equipment. The hostel is affordable and the quality of food in mess is satisfactory. Besides, the college also provides sports facilities, medical aid, and a canteen where you can get food of hygiene and cleanliness.

    Most of the teachers support students focusing on research and postgraduate studies. The quality of teaching is good but the content of the course is mostly theoretical and there is not much exposure to the industry. Some more practical training and motivational sessions would help in making the students more industry-ready.

    Placements

    Placements of biotechnology students at MIET are neither very good nor very bad. Alongside some companies, who visit for recruiting, the number of available positions is limited in comparison with other branches such as CSE or ECE. About 25–30% of the students from our batch were able to get placed. The money that the employees get can also differ, where the most elevates till about ₹4.5 LPA and the least around ₹2 LPA.

    Teachers not only provided us the concepts and theories through lectures but also did hands-on exposure through case studies, presentations, and industrial visits. Besides studies, they also encouraged students to participate in various extracurricular activities which in turn helped them in overall personality development.

    The placement cell was proactive and made sure that the majority of students were hired by top companies. There was a huge turnout of well-known companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro, HCL Technologies, Airtel, Vodafone, Axis Bank, IDBI Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Dabur, and Britannia, to name just a few, for off-campus and on-campus recruitment.

    The mechanical engineering labs are equipped with the essential tools and machines, as well as, the updated equipment which is very helpful in the practical part of the learning process. The standard of the canteen and sports are good, and the campus is not only green but also calm and tranquil.

    The curriculum is done accordingly to the regulations that are issued by AKTU and it combines theory with practical learning. Teachers also invite us to attend seminars, industrial visits, and projects along with them which in turn make us more familiar with the industry.

    The salary packages are good, but they are not at a very high level in comparison with the packages offered by other engineering colleges. The average package is generally in the range of 3–3.5 LPA, whereas the highest one can go up to 5 LPA.
