Worst place to study, if looking for overall development

Posted on 23 Dec' 18 by Bhushan Vijaysingh More
Batch of Jan. 1, 2021 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
Worst place to study, if u r looking for ur all round development then don't even think of taking admission in this college. No auditorium, not enough books in library, pathetic sports ground, no big event is organized in this college, college spends very little for development of students. Also u won't be able enjoy your college life. The area is not at all a study environment. Every other you will be disturbed by the activities around you even during exams. The staff is not upto date, half of them teach in Marathi so it is problematic for people coming from other states. The college funding for Baja and robotics is poor. The college takes a lot of donation and fees but still it is not upto the mark. Very few extra curricular activities. The director will ignore your complaint mails. The staff is not at all supporting, everyone is selfish and concerned about their own work, no proper mentoring of students. I repeat don't take admission in this college ever, I am regretting my decision, even after having very good marks I chose this college which proved to be a terrible mistake.

MIT AOE autonomous college of engineering

Batch of Jan. 1, 2019 | B.Tech Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
MIT Academy Of Engineering stands into the list of the best colleges in Pune and yes the reasons behind it prove that it is worth it ! On the banks of holy river Indrayani (Bit Polluted but our favourite destination of aal tym !!!) with its best and beautiful infrastructure will always make you feel at home!Faculties are supporting and are always concerned abt attendance(a major issue here!!!) but ultimately for our good results ... Curricular ,Extra Curricular and Co-curricular activities are more than expectation supported here ... we are always encouraged to be a part of many activities ... Best Placements and Academics is all what you need and the clg is giving the same indeed! ROBOCON (Robotic Contest of national and International Level) is an event host by this clg adds a feather to its cap . As it got an autonomy there are plenty of industry oriented courses. It is NBA accredited.

MIT is an autonomous college , it has excellent faculty member . It have moderate infrastructure and well known college for the average placement rate . from this year it has got an autonomy so, it will be beneficial because it conduct industry oriented courses.it has hostel facility for boys and girls . it conduct sports and cultural activities every year. it has separate robotics lab. the college has win robocon in 2015 national event.

Batch of Jan. 1, 2015 | B.Tech Civil Engineering
Placements : Placement of our batch was quite satisfactory. Around 4-5 civil engineering, core companies came for recruitment. I know this may sound low but if I compare with the civil engineering placements around any college under Pune University, this was a brighter side for placements. From our batch, 12 students were recruited out of 30-40 genuinely interested students in placements by various companies. Some of the core civil engineering companies visited were: Shapoorji Palloni Group, Aker Solution, Kumkang Formworks, Deore Construction, etc. Out of this, SPCL recruited 6 students for job in gulf. They had higher package. For others, the average package was around 3.2 LPA. The various job profiles offered during the recruitment was structural designer, site engineer, planning engineer, design engineer for formwork, etc. The placements for our senior batches were very low as compared to our batch. The college also promoted few interested students for internships. And most of the internship that were offered were without pay. Overall, placement was average considering slag in the civil engineering industry. (Note: For those who want to work in IT field, they can get easily placed in reputed bulk recruiter software companies as a lot of software companies come for recruitment). Infrastructure : Campus and infrastructure of MIT is excellent. Classrooms & labs are well equipped as well. The college has one of the best library and study room in Pune. Facilities like spacious ground, basketball court, football and volleyball courts and few indoor games are available. Canteen is good and there are large amount of options available for food lovers just outside the campus. Overall, this campus offers excellent exposure to those who are truly interested in extracurricular and co-curricular activities. Faculty : Almost all the faculty members were experienced, knowledgeable and helpful. Blackboard teaching along with the presentations were the methods of teaching. Guest lectures by industry experts were arranged periodically. However, there was a lack of industry exposure for the students because of low number of site visits.

MITAOE a Autonomous Engineering Institute

Posted on 11 Sep' 16 by Sitapes

MITAOE is one of the few engineering institutes which has been granted autonomous status by the government. I was being thr from 2008-2011. Mechanical Dept. Started in 2006. During my tenure Dept. Was having lack of basic amenities. By d time they have improved lot. Academic culture is good. The staff is good. Plenty of opportunities in extra curricular activities eg. ROBOCON/SAE BAJA. "MIT" stamp make this institute stand outstanding in placement area. Fees are on higher side. Strictly no-no to the hostel as it's very costly. Overall good to opt for.

College life was one of the best moments I had in my life. From day one I liked the place except for few things. College is far away from a city and near a college, there is no good place to hang out. Infrastructure is good and well cleaned as they are very much concerned about cleanliness, but the campus is very small. The hostel is the best part of this college but only for boys. Girls hostel is outside college campus and it is not as good. The crowd is good and friendly as you will get people from all over the India. Food at college canteen is not good but outside the college, you have many options. As per studies is concerned faculties are good except few who starts talking in a local language most of the time which is difficult to understand for students of outside Maharashtra. Here they treat you like school kids and very much concerned about your attendance. Even they send your attendance details to your parents. Placements are good as for all MIT colleges there is a common placement drive. But TPO gives preference to MIT kothrud students and many times allow students of MIT kothrud only for the placement drive, even if we are fulfilling the criteria they don't allow us. Overall I will say this college is good for studies and placement. But you don't get much exposure and it is far away from the city so you will not be able to enjoy the city life.

The college has been located on the outskirts of Pune due to which there has been very less accessibility to the city. There are no grounds in the college because of which sports facilities are not there. The college campus is very small. Girls hostel is outside the college. Due to locality issues, there are many incidents of violence reported earlier. The teaching staff is very good. As far as technical education is concerned it is one of the best colleges.

Batch of Jan. 1, 2015 | B.Tech Mechanical Engineering
It is a nice college in pune offering engineering courses. Placements are grafually increasing year by year..e.g in 2013 highest package was 9 lacs , in 2014 it was 12lacs, and now in 2015 it went to 15lacs so,this college is improving at a good pace, but still average salary is constant from the past few years (3.2lacs). As heard, mechanical engg. of MIT colleges is the best. Placements of mechanical , E&TC, computer is good. Now lets discuss about the campus life: Campus life will not be so amazing because of its small campus. Shorts are not allowed in the college. College management is rather strict in every aspect, especially in discipline. Advantages: campus is well maintained , thumbs up for the cleanliness.college is located in alandi ,indeed the perfect place to study ...away from the buzz of the city. Infrastructure is good. Teachers are experienced and punctual. If you want to get good marks, you have to be in the good books of the teachers. Placements are held at MIT main campus but if you didnt got placement there you can sit in placement round 2 ...held at MITAOE alandi..which is very good..but unless you are eligible. MITAOE prayag Hostel is one of the best hostels in INDIA..no doubt in it. All facilities are provided In the hostel. Staying in hostel will surely give you a pro life full of experiences. Disadvanges: no proper sports ground, they own a very large land for sports ground but is not maintained. Attendance is very strict. Hangout places are 20 kms far from college. No non-veg zone is the other name for alandi :p ..but yes you can get non veg food after travelling 2 or 3 kms away from the temple. If you want to experience each phase , the good the bad and how to adjust in life, then it is the perfect place for you.

It gives me pleasure when I describe my college. I have no words for my college. Classes are interesting because faculty makes it interesting. I am studying in the top prestigious college of Uttar Pradesh. Though our college have not criteria of taking students, but it is trying to give best results. Even from my college, there are few alumni who are in good position i.e., IAS (Indian Administration Services), Scientist (NASA). My college is also working on student’s personality though this college is under developing phase, but by one I am sure that it will reach the position acquired by IITs.

MIT AOE is famous because of the tag of MIT but do not get fooled with the tag of MIT. It is not at all worth the four years of time. You will learn nothing here except of being in good books of teachers. If you do not agree with teacher's point of view then they will screw your happiness by giving extremely less term work. College has a good campus but do not get deceived by it. Girls hostel was pathetic in my time and boys hostel is a dream place to stay. Please think twice before joining!!!

Do not go for the name, this college isn't even close to MIT pune. situated at the interiors of alandi, life becomes hell at this college. The boys hostel has all luxury facilities while the girls hostel is as worst as possible. The teachers don't care until its your attendance. All the unnecessary stuffs are given priority in this college.Canteen is worst and they hold no much fests. Four years of engineering becomes a nightmare here. The only advantage is that they have well equipped labs in order to conduct practicals.

Its a good college situated about half an hour outside main Pune City. Good, clean campus & infrastructure & especially good placement support since its a part of the MIT group of institutions. Relatively small campus & being outside the city quite peaceful too. Faculties from my time/experience were a mix of very good to very bad (or so I feel) & it depends on individual's opinion too I guess. But if you're willing to work hard with the placement support & stuff you can set yourself up well!

Location: Located at Alandi, outskirts of Pune city. For students no good places to hangout around the college. Accessibility: Frequency of buses is ok. Commutation is a problem during festival season when a lot of people visit this temple town. Absence of college bus for students is a problem. Infrastructure: Labs are well equipped with all the instruments. Absence of proper playground is a big problem. Central college library is well stocked but individual department libraries are ill-equipped. Faculty: Teachers are average.Lack of experienced teachers is a problem. Internal marks given by teachers are at lower end when compared to other colleges. Food: College canteen is very small. Fold options around are not great. Finding non veg food in Alandi is difficult. Placement: Students have to go to Central MIT College for placement purpose. A lot of companies come for placement but a very few high paying companies. Some companies don't shortlist students from Mae College. A lot of students get placed, but a high percentage of students don't get placement from college. Package wise its average. Crowd: It's majorly local students with a small number of students from outside state. Hostel: Boys hostel is very well built with a lot of facilities, but the high hostel fees makes it difficult to afford. Fees and charges: Fees is on higher end when compared to other colleges, but other than fees college doesn't charge for other facilities. College fests: The college doesn't conduct a central fest. All departments have separate fests. Due to the far location students from other colleges don't participate much. Internet lab: Its mostly occupied with slow speed internet.

1. MAE offers good but very high priced hostel facilities. MAE has separate Hostels for Boys (Prayag) and Girls. 2. Mess in MAE serves the worst quality of food. 3. In sports , they just have one rectangular field of 20*25 mts in which students play football, volleyball, kabaddi, kho-kho , cricket and sometimes fighting also. :D 4. For any sort of party they don't even have a proper auditorium in which at least 30 people can accommodate. 5. Crowd: Ok-OK . 6.Hangout: Unfortunately, there are NO hangouts anywhere close to MAE, Alandi. You need to travel a good 10-12 km for some civilization. Central Pune's JM Road, FC Road and MG Road, the most happening places in Pune, are almost impossible to reach from here unless you take the whole day out for a nice little trip. 7.Faculty : its hard to find a single professor who speaks fluent English, and most of the faculty changes every single year. Seniors professors are few, and they don’t seem to make a huge difference either. 8.Infrastructure is pretty good, apart from the fact that they don’t have a ground. Classrooms are clean and well kept, and labs are new. The building is nice and well-maintained too. 9.Full form of college is Men Academy of Engineering. :D 10.Moreover, it is not in city-it is village- transportation, accommodation, health are serious issues which can not be taken lightly - it cost you more and return is not worth- do not believe web advertisement- see how many unfilled position of professor- how many students score rank or distinction in university- coaching classes outside college speaks volume about quality of teaching- every year 50000 seats go vacant wait till second round is over you will see all colleges have vacant seats and you can get in to best college near you home or in Pune city- it is very costly here

Part of the MAEER's group, college is ISO certified. Campus is located at Alandi in outskirts of Pune. Infrastructure of the college is adequate and with dedicated labs and separate Mechanical Workshop, The college offers Mechanical, Computer, IT, EE, EEE branches. The college does offer post-graduate programs for some branches, it is still not available for core branches (check this fact) College has a play ground but is too small and management is still trying to procure a decent big enough playing ground for the college. The college sports events are conducted on college grounds but only limited sports are played. Hostel: College Boy's hostel is one the best I have seen in Pune University offering adequate luxury and fast internet. Girl's hostel however is not so. It is divided among many small residential complexes all near the main campus because of which quality of accommodation varies. Teaching: Teacher student ratio in college is abysmal. Teaching staff baring the HOD’s is mostly in-experienced but sincere. Staff is young and supportive also. Student: Being a sister branch of the prestigious MIT does attract some good students but most of the students are of sub-par level meaning if you want to excel , you have to prove yourself and stand out among the herd. Apart from individual branch student association, there are no active hobby clubs and student associations. College conducts a national robotic competition, college fests, technical fests and all the various events one expects from college. Placements are conducted mostly from the main branch. To get placed, the college’s student has to compete with students from all the branches of MIT Engineering College and I have found they lack the necessary skills to make difference meaning that most students do not get placed (on-campus). Conveyance: It is available for teachers only and management is trying to extend the service for students too since the inception but has so far failed. Verdict: It has all the dazzle and prestige of being part of such an elaborate group of colleges but little is seen on ground in terms of student’s talent growth. I do not think College education, or any education, just means percentage on mark sheets but given the pedigree this college enjoys, one would expect more from students and management.

it was a tremendous experience being a student of mit.. MIT as a group of institutes is one of the best available in Maharashtra but MIT academy of engineering alandi particularly has no culture whatsoever.. Not a day went by wen my HOD did not bark about attendance... All he forgot was how to be a good teacher, administrator and a adequate person in charge... apart from strict rules about attendance, coming on time and ATTENDANCE all i learnt was, this college doesn't have any fun culture.. walking with your friends hand in hand or wearing good clothes or being able to do anything creative apart from studies is strictly frowned upon.. the annual event consists of each department's individuals singing, dancing and repeating kapil sharma jokes... all in all final wording- avoid if u can..

Each and every student of this college take admission here because this college is a sister institution of MIT Kothrud. Yes, this tags at time helps a lot when you pass out and most importantly during placements, as all the placement activity takes place in the main institution. Four year in this college will be tumultuous for sure! You will be in shape for sure as limited food joint to eat, localities will have to slog a lot reaching the institute for 8 AM class, everyone envies the hostel(the catch is boys' hostel is really amazing but girls' not so! but hey four years back girls use to stay in rented dilapidated building!! so its heaven now!) Faculty member are satisfactory, some of them have immense knowledge but really high on ego. One need to be in constant good book of them if you want both your overall score to be good. For students who are not teachers' pet will have to slog hard to get marks in externals as internals will be sad! Very stringent when it comes to attendance, heck every year almost 20-30 students get detained even if the attendance is around 60%. So, my suggestion is never let it go below 70%(in worst case). The college is situated among on of the holiest spot in Maharashtra, so whenever you are feeling low, one can go and sit at ghats for hours which helps in getting your peace of mind. But this was all two years back. Now, things have changed dramatically. Decent food joints have opened up, kind of crowd coming to college is has also improved, faculty same as they were, building and infra is developing and increasing which means one may have more resources in future but again I cant assure you of that. Personally if you ask me whether I have learned anything from this college, my answer is gonna be NO. My time here wasn't that good, the saving grace were my friends, I had really low percentage because of which I wasn't eligible to sit in any company for placements, but I got myself up after this college by getting placed off-campus. I was a brat in college maybe because of this I never had a pleasant experience and so my other brat and naughty friends. However, my nerdy and studious friends bagged really good companies with a package of 7 and above. Some friends of mine who were troublemaker (read didn't get good internal marks but scored exceedingly well in Main external exams) were placed as well. There package was around the bracket of 3-5 which is really good!! SO, in the end I wanna conclude is that your college life is gonna be dull but trust me if you want to be something/someone in future you will excel at your own skills!! All the best, hope this helps! i
